EltaMDOil-In-Gel Facial Cleanser, Daily Gentle Face Cleanser, Removes Long-Wear Makeup, Sunscreen, and Sweat

I love this cleanser. I use it every morning. At night I use the foaming cleanser. My skin went from being oily to extremely dry as I’m entering into menopause. This product has literally saved my skin.

I bought this product when I started acutane because I needed a simple cleanser that wouldn’t dry out my face. This cleanser has provided just that. It makes you feel like you truly get all your makeup off & leaves your skin looking so clear.

Truly amazing. Have had oily/combo skin my entire life and it only got more confused with recent perimenopausal hormonal changes - would've never thought an oil cleanser would be so calming (and non oil-slick generating). Less peeling after, no tightness, no greasiness. Completely new brand to me as well @moderately higher pricepoint (previously otc neutrogena, then cetaphil). Took a chance. So glad that I did!

I use a lot of Elta products but my face wash I use normally is by Drunk Elephant. I bought this for travel as the size is small enough to take on a plane. It has an oily feel to it and doesn't seem to leave my skin as clean as my Drunk Elephant.

I found this worked best when I was using it to remove makeup or sunscreen. If I wasn’t wearing any makeup that day, rubbing the oil onto my face prior wasn’t really a step I found myself needing to do. On those days I just needed a straight cleanser. This is more for removing any layers you may have on your skin prior to cleansing.It’s a unique concept, reminds me of makeup melting balms I’ve used in the past, with the added step of it turning into a milky cleanser once you get it wet.You rub the product onto your skin while your skin is dry, and the oil will help breakdown/remove product. Then you wet your hands/face and it turns into a cleanser. After turning into a cleanser I didn’t find it sudsing up that much. I did use a good amount of product, too. So the cleansing portion felt very light to me and I found myself wishing for more suds.I was careful to avoid using this on my eye area because last time I used a makeup melting balm I had an allergic reaction on my eyes, so I’m always extra cautious on using oils near them. When I avoided my eyes (and just used this on the rest of my face) I had no sensitivities occur.Overall it’s a unique concept and would work good when used in combo to remove makeup or sunscreen. If I’m just wanting a light cleanse though I’d use my regular cleanser.

Silky. No odor. Soaks into skin without leaving a greasy film. This product does not irritate my sensitive skin.

I love this cleanser. I’m normally ambivalent on cleanser, provided it isn’t drying and cleanses well enough. This stuff cleanses but also hydrates and I personally think improves the skin barrier. If you’re oily it may not be the best but for normal or dry it’s awesome.

Doesn’t lather or remove makeup. Love most of Elta’s skincare but this one is a fail.
