Works good for the money. If you hit a hard callus it will slow down or stop.

I’ve been using this for years. What a game changer! How I wish I had gotten one as a teen. Gets the job done in less than a minute and leaves a smoother, better finish than anything I could have done with a manual tool.Best of all, I’m pretty certain to attribute to this tool the abatement of my recurring athlete’s foot. I’m fairly convinced what was happening is that no matter the creams, soaks, and various home remedies I’d used, the micro fungi would still lurk, feed, and reproduce deep in my calluses, feeding on the pile of dead skin there (yes, the fungal dermatophytes that cause athletes foot do feed on dead skin). Removing those calluses is removing their picnic basket.So I’m really grateful for this tool which has also operated very well consistently for me.(I owe it to a podiatrist who looked at my scaly feet and said I’ve got to get rid of those calluses. He isn’t a fan of salon pedicures though unless it is a quality medical establishment as too many do not follow sterilization protocols to the T. That’s why I decided to do it myself..)

I had quite a few of these, and I decided to get this one because it is the first one I have ever seen that has a reversible speed feature. That feature is useless, at least to me. Whichever foot you are working on, you end up having to reverse the direction multiple times. If it is good for the heel, then the spinning direction is not working for the rest of your foot, and vice versa. The first time I used it, it grabbed some skin from my foot and pulled it in between the spinning roller. and the actual device. That hurt like heck, left me limping until the next morning. I woke up to cactus feet as well, after that first use, and I didn't even use the extra coarse roller, since my feet are not bad. The fine roller ended up shredding the skin on my feet and made things worse.I tried to fix my feet again that day, on a slower speed, fine roller only. It was still frustrating to have to hold the device and try to figure out which spinning direction works on which area of the foot. It kept skipping on my ankle, and the device would stop completely every 10 seconds, regardless of speed.3 days later, just tonight, I tried again. The device skipped 3-4 times over my ankle. I used a coarse roller, thinking that something is maybe wrong with the fine one. It is not. The material they are made from does not compare to Amope or any other cheaper unit I used so far. It just shreds the dead skin, without removing it actually, and you can tell it from the absence od dead skin on the floor. I tried to exchange the roller for a fine one, and the device stopped spinning completely. It is officially dead. I suspect that positive reviews come from customers who never used a similar device before, and I want to tell them that this one is probably the worst being sold as of today. The reversible direction feature is not necessary and this device is made out of cheap materials. I am returning in the morning. While I am typing this, not only my feet are on fire, but my ankles as well.

This is the best thing that has been invented, I don't have to get a pedicure every 2 weeks.
