It works! So bloody simple I wish that when I was a potter years ago I had come up with this.Dry pipe tobacco is not as pleasant a smoke as one slightly moist, so having this in your pouch for a short while works a treat.Try also a light dilution of whiskey or rum to the water you soak this in and a gentle aroma can result.

IT CERTAINLY DOES MOISTEN, OR KEEP TOBACCO MOIST, BUT SOMETIMES I BELIEVE A LITTLE TOO MOIST FOR ROLLING
I found the Hydro Stone Humidifier when moistened and placed in the tobacco tin, causes the tobacco to become too moist. I guess it is all down to how wet the stone is when you place it in your tobacco tin. It's not easy to guess how much water you should allow the stone to absorb before putting it in the tin. I have stopped using it.
