Helpful tool, L may fit adults!
*AFAB adult usage*Weighted blankets are soothing, but tend to trouble my unstable joints. I love compression and deep pressure tools and appreciate this brand's products, so was excited to give this a try.The L may fit adults, depending on measurements. I've got big hips, making the bottom of the vest ride a bit higher on my torso. The upper closure fits well over my chest. If I had assistance, I could likely get a more fitted/compressed feel. The hook/loop closures on this are strong. Very strong. This is great for helping the vest stay put on kids, but makes it tough to don solo, especially with hand dexterity challenges. If I'm already in a state of anxious overwhelm, it can be a bit claustrophobic feeling trying to take the vest off since it's tough on my fingers. In my attempts to don with the Velcro already attached, the head and shoulder area feel a bit too tight to finagle over myself. The weight is a bit light for my sensory needs, but is probably excellent for smaller or younger users, depending on their preferences. I like that I could potentially add extra. The vest is versatile and can be draped over your shoulders, lap, or chest. Also a great snuggle tool if your cat likes caves (all weight packs on the side in contact with you, bottom hem opened to make a tunnel/cave).This item is well made and could be a great tool for classroom or home use, and can be adapted for adult use. I'd recommend it if deep pressure or being held is a grounding sensation for the intended user.

My son loves it!
My son is on the autism spectrum. He loves this vest. It is comfortable to wear. For smaller kids, It does need someone to help put it on. I like that the weight is adjustable. It helps him feel grounded and calmer. Good quality and well made.

Smells!
I have an adult autistic son and he needs help with self regulation. This weighted vest is a nice option in helping him to do just that. The individual holders for the weights are inside the vest and the Velcro shut. It’s a nice weight to help calm a person down. It’s not too heavy, but just right. I will say that when I opened the package, a very strong chemical smell hit my nose. So much so that it gave me a bad headache. Sadly I have had this package open for a week now and the smell is still very strong. I’m sure it’s from whatever material they used to make the vest. That is a real issue and why I gave it three stars. Ours kids are already sensitive to smell, so this is a bit disappointing. I’m hoping the longer it’s out that the smell will dissipate a lot more.

Great Adjustability
I work with special needs students, many of them with autism. Compression and weighted blankets are pretty much standard in special need classes. I ordered the large because I usually work middle and high school students. This one is great due to it's ability to accommodate different sizes. I'm 5'0 and 120 lbs. In the picture you can see it fits me. I probably could have tightened it bit more, but it's easier if you have another person helping. The vest is made of two pieces, and due to all the Velcro on the sides and at the shoulders, the vest can be adjusted to fit a smaller middle school student up to a larger high school student. The weights fit in pockets, and there are six bags (they feel like sand bags). Two are half pound bags and the other four are quarter pound bags. This way the weights can be changed to suit the person who is wearing the vest. The vest itself, is light weight, and reminds me of weight suit material, so it's not exactly breathable. That's something to consider if it's hot wherever the vest is going to be worn. Overall, this vest is sturdy, provides moderate compression and low (2lbs) of weight. This is a good option for older kid in secondary school-either middle or high.
