Not recommended
I decided to purchase this gong, knowing that MEINL is an instrument reference brand. I also liked the price being a 20" Gong part of their "Sonic Energy" collection way cheaper than their regular 20" Gong. However, when I opened the box, I realized why the price was lower: the beater has glue stains on the head, and you could see no attention to detail, the logo has scratches to it, the printed life flower image is so off center. The Gong performs pretty well, it sounds nice, but I wish I knew about those flows ahead so I would never buy it and would opt instead for their regular 20" gong, even though is more expensive. I care about details, and I think they should have a disclaimer on the product info so customers don't feel tricked as I did. I doubt if my next gong will be from MEINL.
