UniVirgin4-Color DR221 Drum Sets Replacement for Brother DR221 DR-221CL DR221CL Drum Unit Fits for: Brother HL-3140CW HL-3170CDW MFC-9130CW MFC-9330CDW MFC-9340CDW Printers (4pk Drum - BCMY)

Used these for a Brother 3140-CW color printer. I was a bit reluctant because of some bad reviews but the printer needed to be fixed or replaced more than one cartridge was dumping toner onto the paper. The drums themselves seemed OK for depositing ink but they didn’t look that good to the eye. This was happening because the cleaning of excess toner from printing had finely jammed the drum full of old toner without a port for removal.I used this Drum Sets Replacement and new E-Z Ink (TM) Compatible Toner Cartridge Replacement ($52.00). The drum is wrapped in black paper for protection. As the tape seemed hard to remove I used a razor to cut through the tape about a 1/16” below the paper and the paper then came off effortlessly .I saw on one report that the person thought that color identification should be on the drums. My drums are all the same the color identification is next to the drum in the printer.I cleared all the old drums and cartridges from the printer then wiped the free toner with a kleenex then vacuumed to pick up the remaining particles. After the new drums and toner were installed printed with zero problems and great quality. Very happy with the purchase.

We are very happy with the replacement drums. Our Brother HL-3170CDW printer had stopped working, so my husband ordered these replacement drums to fix it, after researching the repair needed. The replacement drums were easy to install and are compatible with our printer. Our printer now works like a charm. The seller was very interested in making sure we were happy with our purchase. I feel sure if there had been a problem, they would have worked with us to resolve it.

Work & fit as expected, 2 months no problems

Great drum sets for my brother MFC9130CW. Much cheaper than original brother drum while just as good. My printer is used daily and prints hundreds of pages and these drums have been holding up pretty well. Look forward to replacing further used drums with these quality grade, much cheaper, univirgin drums. Brother is ripping people off with expensive toners and cartridges when after market ones such as these are much cheaper and often perform just as well.

It was fast! But I have to admit, I was startled, when I saw the BOX was labeled, "Premium Toner Cartridge", and not Brother Drums!!They seem to be working.

If you're only printing from a word document, these drums work great! But they really suck in printing from a PDF. All of the files I'm printing from on a daily basis are from PDF and all of them have ghosting occurring in the text and images. Unfortunately I need to replace the drums again, having wasted the money spent on these drums.Edit 9/1/2021: I was able to solve the ghosting problem by just continuing to use the drums and it worked itself out after about 200 pages. For the last 3 months I've gotten a Drum! error message telling me to clean the wires. I was able to limp them along for 2 months, but lately I can't get it to work at all. If you're willing to keep trying to get these drums to work, go for it, otherwise buyer beware.

Extremely poor print quality. That’s great that it conserves cartridges... that literally means it uses half the ink and your pages look terrible. I can’t use this for my business and now have the inconvenience of returning these on top of all the other things I need to do. The logo on the left was printed with manufacturer drums immediately before I swapped it those same cartridges and printed the one on the right.

I ordered this drum replacement units for my Brother MFC9130 CW. I was pleasantly surprised when I put the new drums in replaced the toner cartridges, powered up, and that was it. There was no problem with compatibility issues , and my printer is printing great again.I highly recommend this product.

Had some issues with the product but problem was resolved quickly.
