Great Strings
It's the first time I've used this brand.I'm very pleased with the qualirty, feel and I suppose most importantly the tone, I'm using them on a Status Fretless and the tone, volume and tension is perfect for me.I've even opted to purchase a set of La Bella flatwound golds for my thunderbird on the strength of how these have performed. I've not received those yet but I'm looking forward to receiving them.

Very double-bass like.
Fantastic strings on any bass, but superb on a fretless, giving a real double-bass tone.

A "must have" upgrade for my Fender acoustic bass...
Loaded these clear plastic covered strings onto my Fender Kingman acoustic bass and... bingo, a beautifully warm tone that's so much better than the overly sharp & brittle tone from the nickel-wound strings that came with it. There's a perceptible reduction in volume when playing "unplugged" but when plugged in to a decent small bass amp the sounds they produce are a joy to behold, coming close to those of an electrified upright bass. Best of all, their lack of resistance has dramatically reduced the previously very audible scratches from my finger movements while making it so much easier to play the guitar in the relaxed style it requires. Can't comment on whether they're better than other tape wound alternatives but, for me, they've been a "must have' upgrade.

These strings are La Belle Rocks!
The most comforatble strings I ever used in 53 years a bassist. These are a famous brand been around for decades but I always went back to Rotosound, D'D's, Dunlop or Fender for my bass strings. I smashed my left elbow a while back and fretting full scale is a dog, and I ended up 'Over Thumbing' the E. I am just fininshing converting my Telecaster into a shorty 30" bass. The tone is very warm round and fat. From Latin Jazz to Slap and Pop these strings are a Blast. Just take your time and if you understand your instrument and tuning you wont want to go back to your old strings. HM excluded !These strings are definately for the pro's. Good Luck. ziggy
