Pure power packed machine for coding and business class softwares don't even think about using it for gaming. You will cry bloody tears after purchasing one knowing how costly it is but if you can use it as an career asset to earn back the money you lost purchasing it then go for it but if you are buying with Papa's money or just to show off then don't buy it or go for MacBook Air M1 atleast as that one is as fast as m2 MacBook Air in 2023 and enough for intermediate use. Again I will share this machine is not for students but for business class executives or seasoned developers as only they can utilise it's full potential and being them you will love what it will do. Ram management is great so 16 gb is more than enough with unified memory management , m2 pro will give you the performance worthy for next 5 years atleast and battery backup is unmatched.Softwares like intellij and visual studio enterprise,mongo db server etc are buttery smooth with good compilation times.

I am upgrading from a baseline M1 MacBook Air and I can tell you that more RAM, more storage and the presence of cooling fans to prevent thermal throttling has really helped with my usage and productivity. This is the best laptop available for Pros right now.

Upgraded to this model. from an Intel Macbook with touchbar, 2019 as Final Cut is no more being optimized for intel hardware. The difference is phenomenal, in part due to apple silicon and in part due to the sly tactics of Apple forcing people to upgrade. If you have any of the M1 hardware, skip this cycle and wait for the M3 or M4s later.The keyboard and screen is remarkably better. Final cut Pro works like a charm and is much faster than intel based macs. The 512 GB SSD is slow, thus opt in for the 1TB SSD if budget allows. M2 Max is only needed for professional video editors or anyone with very high graphic requirements, for others, M2 Pro does the job.

Very good performance.... Brightness is really good as it helps me operate the macbook on streets in morning.Price is very low. Apple should increase the price of this beast....100+ fps in cyberpunk on Ultra settings...
