I recently purchased a bi-fold door kit for my closet and I am thrilled with the product. The kit was very easy to install. I did not like the pivot it came with because it has to attach to the ground and may need to be raised due to how high you install your doors, which is why I also ordered Alamic Door Pivot Hinges Heavy Duty Hinges for Doors Stainless Steel Pivot Door Hinge System. I used the top hinge as a replacement for the pivot mechanism.The bi-fold door kit is made of high-quality materials that look and feel very sturdy. The doors open and close smoothly, without any squeaking or sticking. One of our closets has bifold doors on it and it has always been hard to open, you needed to use two hands, one to pull the handle and the other to push the door open. We installed this hardware on the current doors and it is a breeze to open now! We did realize upone hanging it that the doors do not cover the entire opening now, a 2 inch gap at one end of the closet but that was our error in that we should have realized an inset set of doors wouldn’t cover the opening when placed in front of the door trim. Not a big deal as this closet is at the top of the stairs that lead to the basement so the gap is only seen when going downstairs. Eventually we will build new doors that will fit perfectly with this hardware but for now we are just happy to be able to open the closet without pulling a muscle. Thank you for inventing this unique hardware!

I bought this in January for a project that was held up until August. I paid $85 and is now listed at $45. The parts are not machined properly so they don’t even fit together correctly to assemble and the instructions are basically NON EXISTENT!! Too late to return!

Simple easy installation. Perfect option for adding a door to a small space. Seems well built and easily held the weight of the solid part door I built. When adding the hinges make sure they have a small even gap so the door can fold flat when open on the tracks. I had to move one hinge after the door was up.

DIY-er Review and tips….I bought this door system so I could add doors to my recently expanded bedroom closet opening. The product is easy to install if you don’t look at all of the instructions.First assemble the rail - this was done as per the instructions directed.I used a ledger board so I skipped using the dowels that are provided. I’m not sure why there are dowels but if you can’t install it directly to the studs use a solid hardwood ledger board. Drill holes smaller than the screws provided for the rail to make a tight fit.Having two people to hold, level, and make the holes for the rail is recommended. Level is key!I used two hollow core doors so the provided hinge screws were too long. So that required a trip to the store, but an easy solution. Lay the doors down tightly abutting each other with no space when marking for the hinges. Just make sure the hinges and door are level. Take your time with this.After getting the hinges on and the other door hardware (roller) it was a breeze. You do have to drill a hole in the bottom of the fixed door. I used a 1/2” drill bit and had to expand it a bit to fit the door pivot thingy. (I know real technical). I drilled the hole in the door put in the pivot thing and then hung the door, then marked the spot on the floor where the pivot thing needed to be installed. Much easier than how it’s suggested on the instructions.Just take your time and watch some YouTube videos on installing barn doors. The instructions make it more difficult than it needs to be.I used two 28” doors for a 53” opening. So they overlap the opening but it works great. I spent too much time trying to figure out the purpose of the dowels and worrying about the drill bit sizes. The hardwood ledger board was perfect and the door hardware is secure.

No issues, easy to understand and put together. Perfect! If you can't do 16 on center, use a good piece of wood to attach the kit to.

This product is my second time to buy it. This time I gave it to my best friend as a "gift" for his new house. This kit has excellent quality and robustness. I must say that this product and bonikluba customer service make me very satisfied. My friend is a person with little decoration experience, but this product is extremely easy to install. I helped him with some work that requires some strength.and he finished the rest by himself. He installed this kit on the bedroom door, which is very beautiful. I am glad that he likes this product and it helped him. Amazing products. I must strongly recommend them.!!! thanks.

There were a few frustrations:1. The spliced rail is TIGHT. It does come together, but only after swearing a bit. It's definitely secure though, which is great.2. The instructions are full of illustrations with far too much unnecessary measurements information and no word instructions. There is plenty of space to say " Screw part A into part B", etc.3. Imperial measurements on the instructions are in smaller type than metric. There's plenty of room to make it bigger type!4. What are the wooden dowels for? They're pictured, but no explanation why or where they go. They're likely an alternative to a ledger board (which I'd actually recommend using for added stability.)5. No stoppers to secure at the ends of the rail like so many other manufacturers offer. For almost $200 for this kit, surely you can throw in 2 pieces of $.50 hardware? I added in furniture bumpers that I screwed into my ledger board.6. The screws to attach the hinges are too long. You'll need to buy shorter. Annoying (and I'm not the first to mention).All that said, it seems to be good and sturdy quality; a couple of scratches on the hardware were annoying given it is a new, unopened product. *Fixed by good old Sharpie* Use common sense while putting the thing together. The instructions are both too much and not enough.

We purchased this product it came in two seperate rods, you have to bolt together to make one long rod. We found that once We put it together We could not get a smooth surface where the two rods joined together. One rod was higher than the other, and they were not joined together at the same width. As a result, it is always an effort to close the door. The door does not close easily using this rod.It takes a long time to put the hardware together and then to put it up. As a result, I tried to file the top of the rod hardware to make it close smoothly. But this did not help as well. I would suggest everyone to stay away from this product and by a full lenth od the door slides on. Do not but unless you want frustrations.
