Hardcastle 5ft Solid Steel 1" Barbell Weight Bar

I replaced the original bar of my weight set with this one and am very pleased so far. The original one is a cheap split type with a socket and single screw and I had little faith in it holding up as I've increased the weights. I have no such concerns with this - it is indeed very solid steel and I was initially surprised by its weight which I think is 5-6 kg.The knurling is good - comfortable and not too rough. The grip part is just about wide enough for me for benches and fine for other exercises and so far there's room at the ends for plenty of weights. I'd like the whole bar to be knurled for close grip overhead presses and such, but its ok once I cleaned off the light film of oil it arrived with. I'm sure it will give many years of service so I reckon it's very good value - very pleased with it.

I've been using this bar for a few weeks now and so feel I can write about it with some insight. The thing is, I don't have much to say because it's simply a well made and reasonably priced piece of equipment. However, I'll add that there are two positive aspects to it which would address some of the negative issues people have had when ordering and using standard bars. One is that the knurling is prominent yet comfortable on the hands, regardless of the grip used. And the other is that the supplied spinlock collars have the small rubber inserts which help reduce the sometimes constant requirement to stop and retighten frequently.So all in all, a good, fairly priced product that I'm glad to have bought.

During lockdown this bar saved my workouts, it very stable and you can do a lot of exercises with this bar and lift quite heavy. There is a lot of space to put more weight on the bar. The only thing is the screw comes a bit loose during ur workout and the fact that its a bit pricy. But overall, the bar is an amazing addition to my workout equipment.

Very stable barbell perfect for home workouts. As a 5’10 the shoulder width is decent for a 5” bar along with the thickness for all types of exercises ranging from bench press to barbell rows. Price is good for what you get, isn’t exactly the 7” Olympic barbells you find at gyms but this will get the job done. No sign of bending from the barbell with 45kg on each side, so it’s sturdy enough.Only annoying thing is when you slightly rotate the barbell from picking it up or such, it can rotate the clamps and loosen them.

I bought this barbell for some weightlifting at home in between gym sessions. It’s worked out well as the gyms are now closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.I bought a variety of 1” middle cast iron weights and they fit well.I regularly use this barbell for squats, bench press, hip thrusts and deadlifts and it feels comfortable with weightlifting gloves and a foam cover for shoulders and hips.It’s very strong. I use up to 60kg on it and it feels solid and never bends.Very pleased with it.

Fantastic service!!! Delivered well ahead of date stated!I needed a barbell to fit a few 1 inch weight plates that I had, to train at home during this lockdown period.This fits the bill perfectly! I'm delighted with it.Great value for money. Weights have become very difficult to source/obtain, and even if you do, the prices are ridiculous.But this is fantastic value for money.If only I can find some more weight plates now!

Does the job and doesn't rust easily neither bends!

happy with this purchase. about 6.5Kg mass the spinlocks have rubbers on and fit well. The bar was oiled to stop it rusting. it's a good product and not a bad price considering current supply shortages,

Article conforme à la description, merci beaucoup.Je cherchais une barre de 25cm de diamètre pour y insérer mes disques en plastique Physionics.Leur barre en 3 morceaux se tord très dangereusement à 90kg.Celui ci se déforme à peine à 100kg, c'est super merci.4 étoiles car les joints sur les écrous de serrages sont en mauvais état.Je me sert de ceux de mon ancienne barre.
