Elementary
Thick accompanying book makes this look daunting. It's not. Gameplay is basically a variation of Cluedo. You go from location to location to get clues (to the culprit, weapon, motive etc.) in a race against the other players to be the first back to Baker Street to solve the case. Clues are pretty straightforward as long as you read the case card properly. Only our 10 year old struggled with a couple of them.Quite an enjoyable game to get you piecing the clues together, making this more of a "mystery" game than Cluedo is. Nice box and board design too. Bought it when the price was a bit lower so felt like good value when you consider there are 75 cases to solve (equalling 75 games) and you can purchase an expansion pack if you complete them all.

Great game!
This game is fun and makes you think! It may take you one game to understand it better but it is worth it! I would recommend that you play in pairs - helps with thinking outside the box! I bought this for Christmas and we had a great time playing it. I also bought it for a friend in the USA who played it with her family - again I got very positive comments "Jeff and Mariana enjoyed it with me on Christmas Day. It was lots of fun!"

Fun game of deduction
We played four games over Christmas. A game of skill, but not too difficult. Enjoyed going round the board and collecting clues, then racing back to Baker Street when I thought I had enough to solve the case. Should keep a family entertained for many sessions.

So much better than expected
This game is actually amazing. Good for all ages and fun to play. We play more as a team rather than individually and really enjoy it

Boring
The game has the overall feeling of Cluedo, but is just nowhere near as good. You go from place to place picking up 'clues' from a book (no cheating, please) and then try and figure out what the THREE tasks are. That is it. You then go back to 21b Baker Street and state your deduction - by checking in the book. If you are right, you win. There is a block and a key too, but they don't do that much. It was an hour of boringness on Christmas day.
