I was recommended this book by a friend and I am so pleased that she did. Beautifully crafted book that is indeed essential reading for those interested in the world of the strandline and beyond. Absolutely love it.

A nice little book, with a wide variety of photos and information. I've learnt a few things from it.

Portable and interesting id guide. Was able to identify a mermaids purse as belonging to a Spotted Skate! Great book.

Comprehensive, with excellent photographs- as a keen naturalist, my natural history weakness has always been the coast, as a long drive is required to get there. This informative well illustrated book has spurred me on and I am going tomorrow. A great book to have on a coastal holiday.

What a fantastic guide for anyone interested in discovering finds on the beach. Already I have identified several bugs that I always see skiting around on the sand and several strange sea dwellers who flip and hop in rock pools and this is before I even go to the beach. Just gutted this book is not for me however its now on my Amazon Wishlist!

Lovely well presented book. We have a holiday home on the Norfolk coast and this is a great reference book to keep there. If we see anything on the beach we can’t identify, we photo it and check in the book when we get back.

I ordered this book after following a site on beachcombing and sparked my interest, I always like to collect shells and other items when on holiday and have often wondered what all the different shells were called, I've seen lots of ideas on Pinterest to put the the items found to good use , I love the book as can learn all there is to know and encourage my grandchildren to do the same and become more aware of all the unusual items found on the shore and to be able to name and identify them , am sure they will really love it to .
