TePe Compact Tuft Twin Pack [Personal Care]

REVIEW OF TEPE COMPACT TUFT TWIN PACKTo quote from the official UK website, 'TePe is a family-owned Swedish company founded in 1965. We develop, manufacture and sell high quality, functional oral hygiene products in cooperation with dental experts.' Is this all just hype and the usual market-speak...? These are a neutral's impressions of the company's Compact Tuft toothbrush:• The Compact Tuft is a member of TePe's range of Special Brushes, intended to compliment regular/standard toothbrush designs• The brush head consists of a small, dome-shaped tuft containing short and extra soft filaments - but which, at the same time, is still dense enough (and therefore firm enough) to enable precision cleaning of those difficult to reach areas within the mouth. It is principally intended for cleaning around fixed orthodontic appliances, attachments for overdentures, or along the gum line. (It is also supposedly an ideal choice for brushing children's erupting molars!) However, the Compact Tuft is NOT intended for cleaning between the teeth - that is to say, it has NOT been designed as an interdental brush (see the first image, below) • Except in the case of those troublesome juvenile molars (as previously mentioned), TePe's cleaning advice is that the user holds the brush tip at a 45° angle (so that the filament tips touch the gum line), moving the brush head gently back and forth until the margin between gum and tooth is thoroughly cleansed (see the second image, below) • In my opinion, the Compact Tuft works very successfully. The brush head is resilient enough for effective cleaning of the intended sites without being so firm that it might possibly cause damage to the gums; but as the filaments loosen with use over time, the diameter of the brush head does appear to fan quite noticeably - probably suggesting that I will need to change to a new Compact Tuft brush more frequently than is likely with my regular toothbrush (see  Sensodyne Search 3.5 Twin Pack ). I also approve of the plastic handle, which is broad enough to deliver a steady grip but also has the additional attribute of a neck that is long and thin enough to reach where it needs to. My only slight reservation is that the brush head (including the depth of the handle) projects approximately 17mm from the main body of the toothbrush, which can often make it tricky to position the brush along the outer surfaces of my (lower) rearmost teethIn summary:The TePe Compact Tuft is a specialist toothbrush that will appeal to people who, like myself, are obliged to use a softer toothbrush - because of their sensitive teeth, and through fear of damaging their gums; but who are nonetheless concerned that the plaque is perhaps not being adequately removed from the tooth margin - leading to an accumulation of calculus and probable inflammation-related gum recession. As far as I'm concerned, the TePe Compact Tuft offers a near perfect solution to the problem and is therefore wholeheartedly recommended.

Am in the category of people how are advised to use this sort of item unfortunately. Happy to have found these available. Beats wandering around the shops.

Another critical bit of kit for getting rid of food particles that can build up and rot teeth + cause gum disease. Well worth the money, easy to uses especially at gum line and behind back teeth. Stop the pre-rot and save on dentists' bills.

I'm happy with these. The Tepe Compact Tuft is recommended to me by the Dental Hygienist. It's great for getting food from the wisdom teeth. It's also good for cleaning teeth after using the toothbrush. Since I started using it, my dentist has noticed less plaque/dirt on my teeth when I get my teeth cleaned at the dentist (scale and polish). Yes, I recommend the Tepe Compact Tuft. Arrived on schedule. No issues.

Sturdy little inter space brush for awkward gaps, which I'm sure will last a long time. You can always rely on Tepe make for good dental products as dentists use them. Brilliant price and excellent service. Would definitely recommend the product and seller

Thank you for sending the TePe’s in different colours the whole family uses them. They have been recommended by the dentist and very easy to clean the back of the teeth. Would definitely purchase again!

I ordered two twin packs, believing this meant four brushes. Two brushes arrived, one was squashed to be unusable.
