Yes, this is a genuine SFX12V 4.0 (equivalent to ATX 3.0) PSU that not only includes the 12VHPWR power connector but also adheres to the latest specification that calls for higher peak power and more responsive sleep/wake performance.

Q: Does the 850r use the same cables as the sx1000?

No, the EPS and PCIe cables are not compatible so please do not use SX1000 cables with the EX850R-PM.

Q: Why only one pcie cable???? I need two for 7900xtx!!!!

As this PSU was designed primarily for the latest GPU with 12VHPWR connector, there is one less available modular connector for EPS/PCIe cables. The PCIe cable we included with two PCIe connectors are spec'd to supply up to 300W total. If you have an EPS connector to spare (your motherboard requires only one EPS), then you can optionally purchase our PP06BE-PC335 cable kit to get two one-to-one PCIe cables for use with your RX 7900XTX.
