There's a newer version...
Great product, but there is a newer version that incorporates the WiFi connection into the controller. This apparently (according to my Honeywell certified installation tech) came out 6m ago. The new version eliminates the need for the separate connection to your router (a separate, powered box included with the old version). Three stars for selling me the old version without mentioning the new one.

Poor return on investment when it breaks and there's no refund or replacement..
I bought a couple of these for two properties and bought some thermo zoning radiator valves too. At first the systems were all fine and I felt like I had more control over my heating and the costs too. But then one thermo zoning valve broke after 6 months, then another a few months later, then another with different symptoms each time (top became lose, one rusted away inside etc) and at £60 a pop, my expected return on investment is starting to look pretty poor. Then a couple of weeks ago one of the controllers itself decided to go into reboot loop mode or so it seemed. After lots of uploading of photos etc., Honeywell advised me to take the batteries out and leave it half an hour, which I did. All fine for a couple of weeks, then the same happened again. This time the same battery removal 'solution' didn't work and they said it was the unit that had broken. But there's no replacement because I'm beyond my one year warranty (and not by that much either...). Still got one controller working with no valves associated with it any more and have gone back to an old school thermostat for the other one.So, 'do the math' as they say: 1 unit plus four zoning valves will set you back around £450 and parts of the system or the main unit might not work just over a year later... will you have saved enough in energy costs to offset this 'investment'?

Ultimate control for each room of your house.
I wanted to give this a few weeks before posting a review so I could really give a good idea of how it works. One of the key things I wanted to find out is if this system will work without connecting anything to the boiler. So just the Wireless controller and radiator controllers. I'm pleased to say it does. Im running this with a combined boiler and all is working well. The unit is easy to use and set up. Tip, sync with radiator controllers before you fit them to radiators its easier when everything is together.Programming is a doddle with the set up wizard. I'm still playing with variations but suffice to say its working well. You will need to fit or already have fitted TRVs. Retain the old heads as if you move you can then take this system with you. That's it for now. I will update in a few more weeks once the weather turns a little colder.

UTTERLY USELESS
We really need an option to score less than one star, as one star indicates that a product is at least good for something. This is the worst operating, least intuitive "smart" item I have ever purchased I bought it a while ago, but only recently had it installed. Now, in its defence. It works perfectly..... If you stand beside the boiler and press the button yourself, to switch the boiler on. NONE of the Apps work and end up directing you to the website, which is equally useless as it can take 20 minutes to load. It is nothing to do with my connection, as I type this, I am sitting in my lounge with 50mbs and it still can't connect. The kicker here is that Honeywell's (and I use this term lightly) "Helpline" closes at the weekend. It's probably best if I disconnect it & toss it in the bin. IT IS A USLESS, NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE, WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. Save yourself some grief and avoid this product.

Absolutely transformed our home. No longer do we have it TOO hot, then too cold, then one room hotter than the other. With this baby and all the radiators (except a couple) on the TRV's controlled by this, it's a dream.Recommended

Wrong version
Star rating is not about the product but about ending with the old version.Sending it back from Turkey is a big hassle, so will end up keeping it. Surely does the same thing after all but one more box to bother with. Information has to be a lot more clear to indicate that this is not the current version. Until that time I suggest you'd better supply from somewhere else.
