Strong Smell, and as for the Taste...
Eight O'Clock Caramel Macchiato is a medium-roast coffee made from 100% Arabica beans. The flavor and aroma are meant to evoke the feeling of a caramel macchiato, but I’ll go into more detail on that shortly. The 11-ounce packaging is standard for this type of product, though I’m not a big fan of soft packaging for storage as, in my experience, it’s not the most convenient. Overall, this variety is aimed at fans of mild, flavored coffees who are looking for something unique within a classic taste.Upon opening the package, the aroma was, as is often the case, very intense, and I really liked it. It’s a true deep coffee aroma with a pronounced caramel note—everyone was eager to try it! While brewing, the scent softened a bit, but overall, it retained its richness. However, when it came to tasting, our expectations faded a little, as the caramel flavor, as is often the case with flavored products, turned out to be barely noticeable compared to the smell. So, I wouldn’t say this is the best option in this category. The coffee itself is smooth and balanced, but the caramel notes are very subtle, which may disappoint those expecting a more prominent flavor. In conclusion, my take is that this is a coffee with a pleasant aroma and a light—very light—caramel hint. The caramel taste isn’t very strong, but overall, it’s an enjoyable coffee.

Good flavored coffee
I love strong coffee and this fits the bill for me. It’s a medium roast and it has great flavor of caramel and it smells like it too. It’s smooth and rich and I purchased two and glad I did for the price. Good price point!

Decent flavor
I love this brand of cofffee. This is the the cheapest price I have seen for this brand, under $5.00. The coffee smells AMAZING while it is brewing, the taste is really good but not quite perfect. For the price I am happy with my purchase. I probably won’t buy the caramelMacchiato flavor again in the future, but it was a nice change of flavor. I pair it with some caramel vanilla coffee creamer I had.

My favorite
After trying all the hyped brands, I decided to revisit this coffee. I was not disappointed. I had always enjoyed it from when I was a 14-year old. Same great taste. Same great quality. No more experimentation with the hyped-up brands.

If you've been around this long.......
Eight O'Clock Coffee has been around for a while, I think over a hundred years or so. It is a really a good standard of coffee without all the pomp and circumstance of the popular fru-fru brands. I buy this more often than not. Their standard coffee is very good and now so many good new ones.

Great to the last drop!
I'm so impressed with this coffee that I can't believe I didn't bother to try it before it got my attention on Amazon. The price of this bag of coffee is affordable in comparison to going to a popular coffee shop. The smell and taste are out of this world to me. I love Sweet Italian creamer in my coffee and this flavor goes perfect with caramel macchiato.

This isn't espresso roast or grind [And Original Blend]
[Edit: Amazon wouldn't let me write a seperated review for different blends. The Original blend is much better than their Italian Espresso roast. I would give that four stars, as a preground, prepackaged coffee -- much better than most grocery shelf brands. It's pretty well rounded, nothing particularly stands out, but also the sour aftertaste is minimized pretty well. And also, my breath is not as strikingly horrid as from the other roast I've tried from Eight O'Clock. It still seems more like a delivery device for caffeine, creamer, and sweetener, rather than a beverage meant to be savoured. What follows is my original review of the Italian Espresso Roast.]I don't really understand how this could be so different from advertised. People seem to like it, but I can't get any flavor out of it. I taste burnt roasting, and that's about it. Whether through drip, espresso, or my Aeropress, I get a little bitter, and that's all. Is this coffee made for percolating? Because all it seems good at is being non-offensive, except the odor it leaves on my breath, like dog pee. It has no pros. It's not even particularly caffeinated. I don't get it.I also bought The Original version of Eight O'Clock, but I don't own a percolator. I'm betting it's too fragile for cowboy coffee. I'll give it a shot, but I'm thinking this is all about the hype-placebo and the stupidity of the masses. This is worse than most canned coffees. I don't get it. Two stars, and that's generous.

Love the coffee - want to buy more, but the price has almost doubled.
Fantastic coffee. Smooth, not too strong, very drinkable. Many years ago, this was my "go to" coffee. I used nothing but Eight O'Clock for years, but haven't been able to find it in a long time. I found this on Amazon and bought some at the end of March for $40. I want to reorder, however, it's now over $70! I'll have to be patient to see if the price comes down.

Burnt, Bitter, Flat, No Aroma
Bought the Eight O'Clock Dark Italian Espresso Ground Coffee 32 ounce. Taste Burnt, Bitter, Flat and has no Aroma (was mine already stale? likely!). I made it through a Moka pot, Cold brew and Coffee drip machine, they all tasted terrible. I threw out the rest after that.

Tastes nothing like Pumpkin Spice
Very disappointed with the product. There was a very very faint smell of pumpkin spice when opening the bag...but that's where the pumpkin spiciness stops. When brewed it just tastes like an average quality light roast. Don't buy if you're hoping for a delicious pumpkin spice flavour. It's so subtle it's pretty much non-existent.
