Two solid cast beeswax candles in a 'Skep' shape. A 'skep' was traditionally used as hives before the current box-style was adopted. The candles show the door and several bees around the front of the hive. each candle has a base diameter of 47mm and is the same high. A very nice and practical candle which can be lit and re-lit accordingly. However, as with all candles, you should aim to burn them for a minimum period of 1hour per inch diameter i.e. 1.5 inches diameter min burn 1.5 hours. You should not burn any candle for more then 4-5 hours at any one time. Beeswax is a fantastic medium for candles and produces negative (-ive) ions when burned. Pure beeswax candles will cleanse the air and provide many benefits especially for allergy sufferers. I will provide an informative leaflet outlining the special benefits of using beeswax candles and how the -ive ions help purify the air. When burning these candles I would strongly suggest you use a specialised candle plate, use one with a spike to locate and secure the candle. Please note that these candles are hand made/cast and slight variations may occur with the length of the candle. Batches of beeswax can also vary therefore the candle ordered may have a slight colour variation to that shown in the photo.
