SEIKO Automatic Silver Open Heart Dial Men's Watch SSA231

This is a beautiful watch. It looks a lot more expensive than it actually costs. On paper, it might seem a bit big for a dress watch; however, with short lugs, it wears beautifully on wrist. The open-heart looks stunning and the roman numerals add a classic elegance to it.Note: the first watch that I received wasn't very accurate. On my timegrapher, it ran about 30 seconds fast per day with a beat error of 1.0 ms. However, I requested a replacement and the second watch that arrived was day and night when compared to the first watch. The second watch is running about 1 second fast per day with a beat error of 0.3 ms. Therefore, it might be a quality control issue and there is luck of the draw. However, given the price and value for money, this is a highly recommended watch.

A lovely, beautiful watch that only gains 2 seconds a day. You can see from photos that watch is not to big for my wrist but I had to change out leather band for silver Speidel Twist-O-Flex which I really like. I totally love the watch except for two minor points: 1-The Open Heart on this watch is beautiful, awesome to see however having the 24 hour dial is a distraction when trying to read the time. 2-The pretty blue watch hands are visible as black unless light is reflecting off of them. Overall, a high quality, wonderful watch from Seiko. Also, Jomashop did a great job on fast delivery and quality as I would not hesitate to buy again from them

It’s a nice watch. The band is nice, love the open heart design. I’ve only worn it once in the few months I’ve had it though. It’s just kinda boring to be honest, although that’s subjective. Very nice quality though.

This watch offers great value for the the price! It looks like watches that are much more expensive. Has standard "Seiko quality" and is comfortable to wear. The leather strap is a bit stiff at first, but softens with wear. I opted to switch it out for a bracelet. This watch gets lots of attention and compliments!

Beautiful watch for such a great price. But every time I looked down at it I could see a black band on it to really bring out the class. Well as you can see it adds so much more to it. Ordered a Barton Black Alligator band and BaMM!!! This piece looks really good in a suit, or nicely starched button down but I don’t think as much with just a tee. This face has a more formal appeal than that. Dress this one up not down.

Beautiful watch! If you are reluctant to purchase this watch, don’t be, I assure you it is better than what you see in the pictures posted on website. I attached photos to help see the detail a little better. The tone of leather band compliments the bezel and dial perfectly. Its a great automatic watch to either add to your collection or to get your collection started. You will not be disappointed, at all.

Brand new, out of the box, and it gains nearly four seconds per minute. I'm not sure if it was damaged during shipping or if Seiko's QC dropped the ball. Like other reviews have mentioned, pictures don't do this watch justice, and it's truly a beautiful timepiece in person. It looks very sharp and is a great value for it's price point. I'm hoping that the replacement I have coming is more accurate.Edit: The second watch I received gained nearly 30 seconds a day. While that's in the high range for what's acceptable for an automatic watch, I chose not to keep it because I was sent an open box item; the watch didn't have the plastic sleeve or the Seiko tag that came on the previous one. It also appeared to have been lightly worn. I will safely assume it was sent back by someone else for the same reason I did. I will purchase this watch elsewhere.

Very nice! The only caveat would be to upgrade the band to a high-quality black band to better showcase the richness and detail of the face.

The media could not be loaded. Definitivamente se ve mucho mejor en vivo que en la foto de producto. Espero que las fotos que subo le hagan más justicia. La esfera es bellísima y compleja, la caja me recuerda un poco a un reloj de bolsillo y los números romanos a los relojes comunes de finales del siglo XIX, las manecillas reflejan la luz en un tono azul obscuro y es muy hipnótico ver el oscilador latiendo. Trae ventana de exhibición detrás, lo cual se agradece mucho. El mecanismo es confiable y robusto, aunque no es refinado ni especialmente preciso. No está muy decorado pero no se ve para nada mal. La correa se ve un poco menos fina que la esfera y es muy rígida en los primeros usos, pero después se amolda a la muñeca y es muy cómoda y yo no tengo problema alguno con ella. Estrictamente hablando, las complicaciones le quitan formalidad, pero a mi juicio le añaden elegancia y un toque hasta romántico. Siento que traigo algo con temática de la revolución industrial en la muñeca y da gusto ver la hora con este Seiko. No creo que tenga mucho qué pedirle a los más caros Presage. Doy cuatro estrellas porque la caja, que también es muy bonita, llegó un poco raspada.

Cool automatic watch from Seiko. Classic look, very unique eclipsed open heart design on the face. Every bit as nice to wear as any higher end watch. The clear case back is cool, even though the movement is not "ornate". The strap is a decent leather. 40mm case is not too big for this style of watch. It's not too thick either, fit's under the cuff nicely.

The watch looks extremely better in real life. At first I thought It was going to look a bit big on my 6.5 in wrist, but I was wrong. Highly recommended, beautiful piece, great price.
