My husband has thick hair and needs a product with decent hold but doesn’t want helmet hair. He also wants it to smell good but I can’t do synthetic fragrance. This holds his hair in place, with some shine, not grease look. His hair still feels nice and it smells great without giving me a headache. Also much cheaper than another brand we used to get that is naturally based. Definite winner!

Quality product to provide confidence

Lightly scented and with a scent that dissipates quickly this gel works fine. It feels thick like true aloe. A little goes a long way. I ordered it because I pull my hair up and all my baby short hairs just fly around and look like I have bed head. I’m not a fan of hair spray. This gel will feel thick and crusty if you apply it heavily. It will be lighter if you use it sparingly. I like to take all the wispy hair around my face and get them to curl making my shirt hairs look tended to. This gel did just that. See photo. I also think it did a decent job of keeping my other short hairs up in my head instead of making me look like Einstein. I’m completely satisfied with this gel.

I've used John Masters products before such as their facial cleanser and really like the ingredients and how it works on my skin so I had high hopes for the styling gel as well. It is light in scent that doesn't linger and the gel feels great on my hair and holds the style in place. My husband likes to use it as well as my daughter who uses it for her bun hair. It's great for the entire family with no harsh chemicals or strong scent. Highly recommend!

I ordered this for my husband and told him to wear it and let me know what he thinks. He thinks a lot of it! He was concerned, because it says light hold. Well, he made it through his whole work day without it budging. He is mostly impressed with the scent, and so am I. It smells amazing, like a really good mens cologne. This is definitely an upscale hair gel for men, it’s not your average over the counter gel. I’m glad I ordered it for him.

This gel has a pleasant scent, and seems to work well in a few different hair types. My son has thick hair that he is trying to grow out, but hasn't learned to tame yet. We've used this mostly on him, working to find styles he likes, and this gel has been able to hold through school.I have fine hair, but a lot of it and it's a bit wavy. I've been able to add some texture and was pleased with it, but unfortunately my hair hates product and never holds for long.My husband has very thick, straight hair, and has used this to smooth out a couple unruly strands.We're pleased with the John Masters Naturals Styling Gel's performance, smell and lack of chemicals, but in all honesty, I doubt we'll end up seeking this out for purchase at this price point.

Smells great and distributes evenly. No flaking or sticky residue.Unfortunately, I didn't get the hold I would have liked from it but it did give a decent soft hold.
