Great telescope for the amateur astronomer!
If you are looking for a telescope that is not a toy and is a proper professional telescope then this is the one. It is very robust, easy to put together - took about 15 mins to assemble the tripod - and it is great for observing the Moon and planets. I am new to this and have found out that atmospheric conditions can affect the quality of viewing, so I am taking my son somewhere really dark where there is little or no urban street lights. I was talking to a professional astronomer at the weekend at Greenwich Observatory and he approved of this telescope as a good one for budding amateur astronomers. So there you go - what better recommendation?

Fantastic Telescope
- Great for starting off- Can just about make out Saturns rings with the 5mm lense- Crisp and close up details of the moon- Mount can be quiet shaky when focusing / viewing on smaller lenses- Red dot scope isn't so snugA fantastic scope for the price with the optics being the highest priority.

Great telescope. Purchased it for my 9 year old daughter who’s an avid space enthusiast... it’s a bit advanced for her now but she’ll grow into into. Nice quality , worth the money. Hoping to get some extra lenses for it for different viewing options.

Great purchase for your first telescope
We bought this telescope for my space enthusiast daughter for her first telescope as a birthday gift. It has been a great purchase! You can see so many of the craters on the moon. We have also seen the rings of Saturn and was able to see moons around Jupiter. You can’t really focus on a star but for the planets it comes out great. We didn’t have problems with our tripod like some of the other reviews. It’s very sturdy and it’s a quality product. I highly recommend this product.
