Eagle Pack Natural Pet Food, Original Adult Formula For Cats, 12-Pound Bag

We have been feeding this since 2008 with only great results. Our then, 4yr old barn cat ate something that led to an infection and poor overall health. She didn't seem to be able to digest/absorb nutrients properly, weight was rapidly decreasing, her always soft and silky coat was dull and dirty, she lacked energy and showed overall malaise. After several medications and treatment attempts, our vet suggested maybe the infection led to some allergies or sensitivities and recommend this food. Within 2 weeks, her weight was going up and her coat improving. When she stays on this food she does very well. We noticed several incidences early on where she was fed food/treats by neighbors and problems would start over, only improving after a couple weeks of Eagle Pack only feeding. It is expensive and often difficult to source and with our recent move, we tried several top brand samples from our local natural pet food store. Again, with only a week of trying samples (mixed 50/50 with the Eagle Pack) her coat became dull and she was vomitting regularly. Back to full Eagle Pack and she's healthy again. Like Magic! Amazon seems to be the best price I could find, and we will continue to have her on this food alone. After more than 6yrs, this active outdoor cat thrives on only this Eagle Pack feed. I would definitely recommend it to anyone for use in normal and special situations.

I have had no problem getting my 6 kitties to eat this stuff. I normally feed them FROMM but used this as a back-up when I run out of the FROMM. They love this food and have no digestive issues with it. I have a couple of babies that have sensitive tummies, but have no issues with this food. I will definitely be using this as a continued back-up.P.S. I still prefer the FROMM as it is very small morsels and easier for my little girls to digest.

This is a very good product for any price. People knock it a bit because of the corn but I've spoken to Eagle Pack and have found they are very open about their product. Carbohydrates are carbohydrates are carbohydrates. No cat needs them. Ever! Apparently the grains used in this product are local to Indiana and surrounding areas (Michigan, Illinois, Ohio)? That's never a bad thing as far as I'm concerned. I've also read the company is non-GMO but I haven't confirmed that information through e-mail. The point is that unless your pet is allergic to corn or rice you're wasting your time going grain free. Potatoes and peas are just as useless as corn or rice and cats would never eat any of these in the wild. So if you want a food that is locally sourced (for the most part) and don't want to pay twice as much for Orijen simply because they use peas and potatoes this is a great option.

Fabulous food. My cat loves it recommended by Humane Society.

Has a lot more grain and byproducts than the product in the past. Switching over to another brand to alleviate my cats sensitive digestive systems.

My cats absolutely love this food. They are healthier than they have been ever. I highly recommend it. My 5 and 13 year old have such soft coats.

My cats do very well on this food. Stays down in the sensitive Siamese tummies. Great quality product, great company reputation with no recalls yet.

Cat liked it. What's not to like? I loved delivery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would buy again if kitty had not disappeared! Very sad.

Actually I don't love the food but I love the fact hat my cat loves the food. I have been told though that it is human quality so when I'm an old cat lady ...... Just saying :)

My cats love this food (although, they love most food), and I think it is pretty well priced for natural cat food.

The cats like it as well. When I add milk and a little sugar the cats go absolutely nuts - sometimes I even have to lock myself in my bedroom just to eat it!
