Cyclops Gear CGX3 - Premium 4K HD Waterproof Action Camera with 2" Touchscreen, 32gb Storage, 10 mounts, CyclopsGear App, and WiFi connectivity

I really can't get over just how awful this camera is. I am doing a Youtube review on it, and it won't be good at all. I have an 8 year old Contour Roam that still blows this thing out of the water and it only shoots at 720p. READ ON:1- Product arrived quick and that is the only positive.2- Camera was barely attached to the stand so when I attempted to remove the base from the packages disposable demonstration stand, the camera fell off and hit the carpeted floor, which broke a small portion of the edge of the screens glass. Unbelievably brittle for an action cam.3- The main body of this ad states that this camera is capable of shooting 4k at 60fps, though the description at the very top say 4k at 24fps. 4k at 24fps is true, 60fps is false.4- the app is old and for the cgx2, and even though I am a huge nerdy tech, I couldn't get this thing to connect to either my Samsung Galaxy tab s6 or my Galaxy s10. Wifi was on, password was correct....blah blah blah.5- The screen stays on while charging.6- You must remove the battery to remove the memory card.7- The usb port is a charging port only, and you will need a usb card reader with micro sd adapter in order to transfer video to your computer for editing. I tried Linux and Windows and neither would see this camera when plugged in.8- I set the date and time but it would not save and is stuck on Dec 31 1999 (Y2K bug in a 2018 action cam???)9- I was making a cycling video to promote Cycling in Quincy Illinois. I used 1080p at 60fps since 4k at 24fps is hilariously lame and useless. The first 4-5 minutes of footage is glitchy and you could tell that the stabilization was overwhelming the processor. For some reason it warmed up after 5 minutes and worked okay, thought the image is what I'd expect from a 15 year old cell phone.10- my film was a 13.31 mile non stop hard cycling push around 14 parks in Quincy Illinois, can't post a link but you can search "13.31 miles cycling quincy parks" on youtube. When I transferred my footage I found 2 points where I the camera had glitched out and was showing digital glitching with no picture at all. I lost 5-6 minutes of footage, which really sucks because when you are a cyclist you don't want people to think that you can't handle a non stop 13 mile route. Totally disappointed.11- none of the file sizes were the same. I had 20 files to transfer and none of them had the same file size LOL WTF??? check screen shot for proof.12- most of the time the touch screen is barely functional.13- ejecting the battery requires pulling a thin piece of plastic sticker material, which won't last long. Could have easily just glued something more substantial onto the battery housing.14- Doesn't come with a charger15- doesn't come with the clear protective housing that even the cheapest action comes come with.I would not recommend this camera to my worst enemy!!!

I'm so happy we decided on this camera and not another action cam! It's exactly what we wanted. The camera comes with just about every mounting option you could think of and we've been having fun finding all the different places we can mount the camera. It's less expensive than some of the other action cams out there, but the features and specs are comparable. We have been able to play our movies on a 65" 4K TV and they still look stunning. The video quality is smooth, not choppy at all, and the mic picks up sound even in windy conditions. I'm especially impressed with the fact that it's waterproof without needing to put it in a separate shell. That's going to come in handy!

This camera is worth every penny. Unlike similar action cameras on the market, this camera comes with 8 mounts so the camera is ready to use. Great quality, smooth 4k video. A noticeable upgrade from the CGX2, the touchscreen makes the camera easy to use. Also comes with 2 interchangeable batteries, so if you’re skiing in the cold you have an extra battery on hand. Great value, would highly recommend this camera to anyone looking for ready to use camera package.

This camera comes with all the attachments needed for mounting it just about anywhere. As avid pool players we chose to place the camera above the table for a full view of our performance. We also linked it to our phone using the app which allows mobile viewing and easier more organized storage of data. Can't wait to discover many other interesting mounting ideas for this camera.

These cameras are great! I used a GoPro hero 3 for years and decided to try this brand. I’m very glad I made the transition from GoPro to Cyclops. The cgx3 is super user friendly and easy to setup, navigate, and the picture is great! I had a question about the specs on the camera and was able to get ahold of customer service immediately and get answers. Shoots in 4K and is waterproof without a bulky casing. Would definitely suggest for anyone trying to document family fun to live action sports.

The cgx3 is an awesome purchase! The video quality is outstanding! I love that it comes with two batteries so when one dies you can change it out easily with out having to plug it in. The touch screan is easy to use. Overall I’m extremely happy with it!

Great Product, with great resolution for the price. Lots of different attachments for any filming situation. High quality image without busting the bank.

Stay away from this product what a piece of junk it's going right to the garbage can paid full price for what a regreat never again
