Good value flea and tick treatment/protection that can be done at home!
This stuff has a good name in the business and buying it via amazon was a darn sight cheaper than getting the equivalent stuff from the vets. Each pipette provides 4 weeks protection against ticks and 5 weeks protection against fleas. Every 5 weeks we use 1x pipette on our 3 year old dog, she's around 8kg in weight. Simply cut the end off the pipette and spread the fir on the back of the neck and place half the contents there... then spread the fir between the shoulder blades and do the same. It's quickly absorbed although ensure your dog doesn't get wet for a good 20 minutes after applying and naturally wash your hands after use. So this pack of 6 pipettes provides 7 months worth of protection give or take.. we take our dog for long walks and she mixes with other dogs and so far no sign of any ticks or fleas! RECOMMENDED!On a side note i'd like to add a word of caution in regards to the sister product to this and that is Beaphars worming tablet!!!! While it covers against most common worms it doesn't cover against lung-worm so we get vet approve worming tablets that cover against everything, i mention that just in case you were thinking of ordering the worming tablets as well as these pipettes.

Does something, but as yet hasn't fully worked
I've used this product for 3 months on dogs with fleas (each treatment lasts 4 weeks). Month 1 I didn't see any difference, the dogs still had fleas. Month 2 there were noticeably less, but my dogs were still scratching, month 3 I'm still finding fleas but only the odd one or two every now and then. I've also been using flea collars, sprays, and have fully de-flead the house etc. A local vet nurse said the issue is that the fleas have become resilient to the current treatments available and even the vet grade products don't work as effectively, so on account of that I give the product 3 stars. It does something, but as yet it hasn't eradicated the fleas. I'm continuing to treat using this product so will update as/when(/IF!) we succeed in getting rid of them.I have 4 dogs, one of them long haired. They are washed before they are treated, walked daily in woodland and fields, and up until a year ago had never had fleas (they are all over 8 years of age). Since then we've varied between products without much luck, hence why I'm continuing with this one to see if using it over a prolonged period helps.

The jury is still out!
This came highly recommended by pest control expert. We had (and possibly still have) a flea infestation. It's likely to have already been in our new house when we moved in (the previous owners had dogs and cats and, apparently, never hoovered - or certainly didn't think to before moving out!) and these quickly transferred themselves to our dog who'd never previously had them. We have tried everything to get them, with advice from the vet - monthly Advocate pipettes, collars, shampoo etc but all to no avail. In desperation, we had the house fumigated, and switched from Advocate to FIPROtec. After that, all the fleas seemed to have gone but, to our dismay, a month later we noticed the dog scratching and, sure enough, he had fleas - despite the continuing flea collar, shampoos, daily combing and the FIPROtec. But we didn't notice any in the house. It's possible that he picked them up by rolling while on a walk. In the end, I contacted a homeopath who prescribed some remedies and, so far, so good.
