This product is exactly as nice as the other comments describe. The material is actually very nice and glossy while looking sophisticated. However, I believe my sash came sewed incorrectly. Either way that you turned it inside out, the bottom where the leftovers were seemed to be inside out, and not willing to lay flat. Additionally, I had read that others used heat elements on the sash to embellish/ glue/ emboss/ iron, but that was a disaster for me. We still were able to give it to the bride for a night out bachelorette, but there were burn holes in certain sections that the embossing told ruined. The embossing looked great, but the satin did not in certain places. I'm not sure if that was because it was too hot, but really it wasn't anywhere near as hot as a hot glue gun would have been.

I recently "made" a sash for a friend's birthday party using this item and some puffy paint. The material is sort of satin-like but not real satin of course and a little bit thicker (which is great for painting on!) This sash fit my friend, and we are full-grown adults. This comes with the blank sash only, no stencils or accessories, but you're crafty and looking for something you can make your own, right? :) We didn't try washing it, so I have no idea how it holds up long term, but if you really wanted to make it last and you start seeing some unraveling, try the old clear nail polish on the ends trick.

Beautiful sash. Wish I had a picture of the one I decorated for my Sister In Law baby shower. Would definitely recommend you purchase. Will purchase again if I need another sash!

Pretty good. Wrinkled pretty hard that needed some ironing. Slippery material slides off chainmail. Meets Amtgard standards.
