There's a very simple solution to the fact that these base plates are too big to attach all 4 screws to a stud or even hit a stud for that matter. Simply mount the handrail to a full-length 1"x6" and round off at the ends. Get your proper height and angle and attach anywhere you have a stud. Also, in my case I had an offset from my basement wall. Simple add the length needed by using a different 1" pipe nipple. Very simple install and versatile for the money.

I like the look and feel of this handrail. I ordered 2 sizes for my staircase because we have a landing. The only issue we had was that the drill bit and anchors supplied were for installation on a masonry wall, and won’t work for drywall/wood. After a trip to Lowe’s for anchors, and putting the handrail up and taking it off a couple of times, we finally got it installed and it feels sturdy. Just know what anchors you need to start with and save yourself some headaches.

Needed to install a handrail for exterior basement entrance, this one was perfect for the length required. Only issue found, the drill bit required to drill into concrete and brick and the one providedcould not.

We loved them! Sturdy nice looking exactly what we were bedding and looking for.

The media could not be loaded.  The hardware provided is not the correct hardware. We had to buy our own. It took about 3 hours to install due to this. It looks amazing get some many compliments.

Great product just don't use the drill bit that comes with it,had to get different anchors since the anchors kept slipping

I am so happy with this handrail!! It is so sturdy, and definitely makes me feel more secure going up and down the stairs.
