No padding or else they wouldnt stick! Not suuuper thin either, like they hold you quite well and thick enough that you can't see anything!

Q: does it push up well?

Not really. The two cups can attach and reattach to each other by a little clip that you could use to pull them together, but in general terms no it doesn't push up.
