It's just the right size, however I would recommend using felt side down. Whilst the felt means the pieces don't slip, the surface is slightly undulating meaning the jigsaw doesn't lay flat so you don't get that satisfying snap when you put the pieces down. I will use it upside down next time -.being extra careful if I need to move an unfinished jigsaw, of course!

Being new to jigsaws, this seemed like a useful accessory, being a good base on which to construct the jigsaw, but principally one which would allow the incomplete jigsaw to be moved between rooms.The board has a fine, smooth, woven surface. The base is a felt-type material. It's size is large enough to do a 50x70cm 1,000 piece jigsaw. The surface material of my board has not been stretched tightly enough, leaving two permanent ridges which did not lie flat no matter how many pieces were laid on them. A small point, but enough to inhibit the jigsaw construction in the ridged areas.On the movement between rooms aspect it fails for me as the ongoing construction of the jigsaw relies on the yet-to-be-used pieces. Unless you are able to select these straight from the box, you will want to spread them out to aid selection. Of course, if you have spread them out, you won't be able to move them easily between rooms - unless they too are on their own large board. Not a direct criticism of the board, just something to bear in mind.So, I cannot recommend this product. It is a useful board on which to construct a jigsaw, but the surface of mine was not flat enough and, in practice, it did not facilitate easy movement between rooms.

Didnt like the fact it is only a board with no cover but made well

As mentioned previously it is good but it must be on a solid base

Kids are able to do puzzles wherever they want the large size means that even 1000 piece puzzles can be kept safely until they get finished … which can be a long time!!
