I love this journal so much. The BEST journal I have ever owned!
The BEST Christmas present that I received! Austin has created this beautiful little book that compliments his others perfectly. He is tuned in to really what makes artists tick. Anytime I start to feel a little lost in my art, I know that this journal will help me get back on top. I just gets the juices flowing. By day three of writing in this journal I had decided to buy another when it ran out. This is going to be my go to gift for fellow creatives in my life all year!

Will keep you busy for ages!
I bought the Steal Like an Artist Journal for my granddaughter. The series of challenges and things to do that appear throughout the book will definitely keep her busy for quite some time to come! Thank you.

A journal, not a written book
I didn't realize that this was a mainly a journal, and not a book. I would have preferred the written book in the same series.

Fantastic creative journal
I'm enjoying this journal so much. It really pushes you to think and to open up your mind. Good creative exercises which I'm sure would be helpful for anybody at all.

Good moments but a bit hit and miss..
Hmm okay so there are moments of inspired brilliance but with a lot of it, it's hard to work out how it's stimulating creativity - some of it is rather bland busywork. Copying out pages from your favourite book, not once, but twice, and the second time as slow as you can - well, okay, I could do this, or I could stare at a blank page or watch paint dry. You might say the irritation factor is supposed to stimulate a creative response, but you could say the same about staring into the dead eyes of other commuters, which is what I bought the book to avoid. It also seems very focused on writing rather than any other creative pursuits - eg. visual etc. I guess there are other books out there for that, so perhaps I would go with those next time. A bit disappointing overall. You could say it is a failure of my creativity to respond in this way - either way, the book is part of that! I had a lot more fun with a kids' drawing activity book which I customised and fiddled with to my heart's content.
