Relies on stickers
This model is a fairly realistic replica of a 2018 NASCAR stock car. These have bodywork styled to look like production cars, but in reality are totally different tubular-framed vehicles complying to racing regulations. There is a technic model of the retail model, which unfortunately looks nothing like it. The model's shape and colour is well defined by the bricks, but detail features, such as the lights, are stickers. It is very easy to mis-apply these. I wipe the brick face with a wet wipe prior to application, which allows some adjustment. Even so, I destroyed 2 name stickers during the first build. The model has the number '5' to identify it on track. The real model has the number'8'. There is no clear reason for the change. If you were a minifigure in the drivers seat under the Hans device, you would have difficulty seeing over the bonnet. The tyre inserts do not bear the name of the tyre manufacturer, no doubt for copyright reasons. A very enjoyable build, although I know little about NASCAR. One of the 2 of this Speed Champion model I bought from Amazon arrived totally crushed in a plastic bubble envelope. Amazon replaced it when I complained. The box, especially the box art, is part of the product. I would point out that the front and rear lights on this model are stickers. On the actual vehicle in the Daytona 500, the front and rear lights are transfers on the bodywork rather than working lights for safety reasons in a contact sport. The NASCAR vehicles use 5.8 litre OHV engines. Do not think I have used an OHV engined car since 1983.

Very fun to assemble but no lights!
I like the tyres and the higher than usual rake of the car.It does have a lot of stickers though. You need to concentrate to get them right (not upside down). It’s a bit of shame that the designers didn’t integrate any headlights or taillights - yes, these are represented by stickers too. I saw a Speedchampions sized Camaro ZL1 unofficial creation on BrickLink which had those features so it’s definitely possible. But overall, the set replicates the Camaro very well. And it’s really satisfying when you get the stickers in exactly the right place. On the other hand, it could be really annoying if they’re on the piss. I got two stickers wrong, it bothered me slightly but I got used to it.

NOT GOOD. Pieces falling off while playing. Doesn't feel like Lego.
This is an odd one. It looks great with lots of stickers on Chevrolet licence. Stunning. The problem is a very fragile design. Many blocks don't hold with all the pins and some are held by a single pin.I couldn't believe it when was assembling it with my sons and already fought this won't hold up. I was right. Many parts fall apart while playing. My boys don't have such problems with other Lego sets.I give it 3 stars as it looks great on a shelf but is garbage as a toy. Doesn't feel like lego.If you are looking for something similar I recommend a Ford Mustang set.

Awesome little kit
Great value for money.A real mini creator kit. Enough pieces to make it a challenge for kids, but not so much that it's too difficult or they loose interest.Download the lego app by the way, means once built you don't need to keep the instructions as they're all on there.
