Works very well for my use. I put this in a old HP 6470 that was struggling to run Windows 10. Added 8 gb ram to the 4gb already installed and have 12 gb that makes it much faster and runs very nicely.

As old as it gets, a good ram upgrade always will speed up your old laptop.This are great micron chips, came with good packaging and exactly as described.

I have a Lenovo Edge 15 that was only 6gb of RAM stock.Running Windows 10, I finally decided to upgrade the hardware to run Magix Music Maker 2023 which was built to run on 10.The RAM made it run poorly for a couple days but it would suddenly improve at certain things and I realized it literally just needed to be broken in.Now, it runs Windows 10 very smoothly and no longer glitches into audio loops and other nonsense if I push it hard with multiple audio and video apps running while it's connected to a projector or large TV.It's not fast at booting Magix but it does run it smoothly and cleanly without mass freezes or crashes. Prior to increasing the RAM, it would crash Explorer repeatedly or freeze for a minute loading Magix and other resource hungry apps.It seems shortly after 2010, a lot of various computer hardware and footprints were advanced enough that they are still current with the times and demands of today but hey just do it a bit slower.

Got 8x2 kit for about $1 per Gb (with tax). Chips look like Genuine Micron - mine said "D9QBJ", just like the current Amazon picture. Dual rank claim checks out. The only reason I am saying "slightly bootleg" is that both modules appear to have identical serial numbers. Memtest passed - all good! This ram works as expect for an older ram stick. I just wanted to upgrade my older laptop with an additional 4 gb of ram. It is something that could either be added or replace an older 4 gb ram. I am not entirely sure if I would trust it to be my only stick of ram. I did a test between this and another well known brand. I did not see too much of a performance difference but that is just eye balling it. I tried this with my older gaming laptop with just the 4 gb stick and it ran but did lag a little bit as 4 GB is bare minumum. I have been using this ram stick for quite sometime by itself and I have seen any issues. The specs for this ram is as followed 4 gb DDR3. It works decently and it was a good boost for my older gaming laptop. Speaking of gaming, this will work for that purpose and it does give my old gaming laptop a bit of a better performance. One thing to note that after replacing the memory that my GPU is now the bottle neck. This is single 4 gb ram stick so it is a bit low. The ram pretty light to hold but make sure you discharge yourself by touching metal before handling any chips. It is the same size as any other basic laptop ram that I can see. If you are planning use this to upgrade or replacement for old laptops, this will work just fine although I would recommend getting at least 8 gb as 8 gb is now consider good enough for every day use. It is pretty easy to install but every laptop can be different so do your research before purchasing ram. Also you need to unplug your computer before installing this ram (remove the battery if it one of those pull out batteries). I was able to easily swap out the ram. It does not require any additional installation or setting changes (at least on my end) to make this work. The most important thing is to make sure you unplug your computer from the power before you install this to avoid any problems. The ram is pretty simple looking. The performance is not bad and it is decent speed. It is an older memory so it is not as fast as DDR4 but that is okay. You can install this ram into older computers for more memory. This ram however does provide me with more than enough ram to surf the web and watch videos. I only use this for my gaming laptop and it also worked. It ran well on its own without any problem. There was no real heating issues with no heat sink. It did get warm but nothing super alarming. It performs pretty well. The packaging was a simple packaging envelope and it arrived safely. Overall this is a very reasonably priced (for being an older ram) and inexpensive ram to have. It performance as expected but I would not use this as my only ram. It is a good addon and performs decently.
