Disney Beauty and the Beast Grand Romance

Bought this set for my Granddaughter. Bit worried that it wouldn't as good as shown. In fact it exceeded my expectations. She was well happy with it. Well worth the money. Love amazon for there speedy delivery service.

After seeing this pair online and a similar one in a department store, I couldn't stop thinking about them for nearly two days. I had to order them regardless of the fact that the order cost me almost a hundred dollars, which I do not regret a penny spent. They are beautiful, elegant, and they really stand out when placed in a decorated environment. Get creative about how and where you want to display them, because they provide so much beauty in person, especially in an artistic setting. Also, I was very impressed with how secured they were to their package. Removing them was a little difficult, but well worth it considering how it keeps them in perfect condition while shipping and until opened. Do make sure to purchase doll stands for them because they do not stand on their own, and they can't sit--Belle has cardboard under her dress which would get damaged! Because I am an adult and I don't play with toys (as much as I love having them), I really can't comment on their durability if left with children. My guess is that they'd be destroyed within a few hours, so I really wouldn't gift this to children especially at this price. One gets more out of them by watching them displayed, showcasing their elegance. I find most of their beauty and charisma to be in the Beast, my favourite of the couple. The material his clothes are made of, and the way he is put together is absolutely remarkable. I especially like the material that his head is made of. He's definitely the most outstanding of the two. Belle is, also, beautifully created, but just has a few flaws. Her hair gets in the way, so it's best to have it kept back (I suggest putting it in a braid if you have that skill). Also, her necklace is very cheaply made, and I especially disliked the cardboard rose that was attached to her hand. A three-dimensional item would have been far more suitable, which is why I decided to be witty and replaced it with this wine bottle; I figured that she'd need a drink after all she went through. Generally, she's an average-looking doll, but her dress is very nice, and it gives her the essence to reenact the character. The last thing I have to say, as much as I hate to admit it, is that I do think they're overpriced for their quality, even though they are both a great size, standing at about a foot high. $40 CDN for the two would be much more reasonable. Although, if you really love this story, and especially if Beauty and the Beast (1991) is your favourite childhood Disney movie, they're worth having.

this set is so beautiful. belle's dress is really pretty and like the one from the movie. the best thing in this set is the beast doll. it is really nicely detailed and really good to look at. u can display them really beautifully together.

Just wanted to let those of you looking at this set of dolls that I found them to be quite nice. I am a small doll collector and a huge fan of B & B since the TV series back in the late eighties and early nineties. The rose and necklace that comes with Belle isn't much to brag about but considering the price for this set compared to the Disney set I am more than pleased with them. My set will go in a display case but if you have a young lady you want to buy this set for I would think that they will be thrilled with it. Hope this helps. It really is a beautiful set. They never can get these dolls to really look like the people they are modeling them after. It is not a too horrible likeness of Emma Watson. I have seen some really good repaints that do make it match her better. But what really really stands out in this set is the beast. He is absolutely fantastic. I am so very glad I bought this set.
