- A konjac sponge is made from konjac powder and water, but contains many valuable vitamins and minerals: water, protein, carbohydrate, lipids, sodium, potassium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, copper, zinc, vitamin A, vitamin E, vitamin D, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, vitamin C, pantothenate, niacin, fatty acids, folic acid.

- Konjac (amorphophallus konjac) is an Asian plant, also known as devil's tongue or konjak. The konjac sponge consists of konjac root (konnyaku), only green clay has been added so this green sponge can offer special care to combination skin when cleaning. Konjac is a plant fibre, naturally rich in moisture, that has a naturally alkaline effect thereby balancing the skin's pH level. The sponge is perfect for eradicating blemishes. Konjac is known for it's health-giving properties and has been used in Japan for more than 1,500 years.
- The unique mesh structure of the sponge gently massages the skin and stimulates blood flow and the regeneration of skin sells for clean and refreshed skin... all in a natural way! You don't need any additional facial cleanser or soap - unless you really want. If you do choose to use an additional cleanser or soap you only need a fraction of the usual amount, as the sponge produces more foam and distributes the cleaning product better over the skin the usual. - The base of the Kongy konjac sponge is the konjac potato. This is dried, ground into a powder and combined with water - by hand and with love - to create the konjac sponge. The devil's tongue for the original Kongy konjac sponge has to grow for at least 3 years to be suitable for production. The complete manufacturing process - from planting to the finished sponge - is carried out by a partner in South Korea. The konjak potato can reach up to 25 cm in diameter and is actually the tuber from which the so-called devil's tongue grows. It is a rare, but not very demanding, plant. The devil's tongue comes from south-east Asia and is mainly found in Japan, China, Indonesia and South Korea, where it loves the tropics and subtropics. In Japan in particular, the konjac potato is also used in the food industry, e.g. for oden (a type of stew), in noodle for sukiyaki and gyudon or fruit snacks.
