wow wow wow! Can I give an infinite star rating??
So I never leave reviews. I don't think I've ever left a review on Amazon. But this books warrant a review.so where do I start? I injured my should 10 years ago. I fell over whilst playing football (soccer for Americans :) ).Over the years my should grew progressively worse and it didn't help when I went through a 4 year period battering and working through pain in the gym. Enough became enough when I went to 6 months physio. Although the physio did help it was never 100%. I'll say it got it to 60% in some areas but after stop physio I developed other overhead pain such as fitting a light bulb.I'll say though that my life carried on normal for the most pat the same. The should pain just restricted my gym workouts because of the pain. Day to day life was not restricted, I just worked around the pain when it was present. In 2019 I finally did a shoulder Operation, followed by more physio. The Op seemed to help in some ways but again, my shoulder became worse in other areas. After googling and youtubing for years, I found a youtube video (bob & Brad) about hanging for shoulder pain. They also referenced this book. After further investigations I decided to buy this book.Unfortunately, this was during the first UK covid lockdown so I had no proper bar to hang on however, I decide to improvise and was hanging on the landing above my stairs at home. I followed the book instructions and after 3 sessions I saw remarkably good improvements. Once the gyms were opened and I started hanging properly and my results sky rocket in just a few session!!!I would not say I am 100% but I am at least 96%+, if not more. and my progress has been hampered by gym closures again and again! When the gyms are closedThis book has been a revelation and a life saver. I have been depressed about my shoulder but now I am happy I can do pain free push ups, mostly pain free bench press, and pain free pulls ups!! every day niggly pain have gone for the most part. I am so so so happy and I feel confident I can take up martial arts (as I always wanted to). I will 110% recommend this book or simply just hanging for anyone.

Brilliant information
Love this book, it has given me so much information regarding the shoulder join. I broke my humerus bone earlier this year and didn't get full movement back. This book has helped me understand how to get my more movement back into my should.Would highly recommend š

This book completely fixed my shoulder.
This is one of the worst-written books you will ever see. It looks like it's been put together as part of a school project. But none of that matters. I've been a very keen swimmer all my adult life and towards the end of lockdown I badly injured both my shoulders - a tear on the left and impingement on the right. So for the best part of a year I couldn't swim at all - not even breast stroke.I spent that year hanging from a bar and exercising with weights - not heavy weights, just what I could manage. In the beginning it was very painful and it took a long time to see results. Some people have criticised this book because half of it is reviews. For me, those reviews were what kept me going. When things felt really hopeless I would read all the reviews again. For a year I hung on the bar for two and a half minutes every day, in 30 second bursts. And gradually the hanging became less painful and the pain in my shoulders went away. It's taken me 12 months, but now I am back to swimming crawl, not as fast as I used to, but I'm getting there. I will always be grateful to Dr Kirsch and if I had paid £100 for this book it would have been well worth it.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
I am 77. I had a torn rotator cuff, severe arthritis, impingement, virtually everything that can be wrong with the shoulder. Saw a surgeon who said there was so much going on in my shoulder, he decided not to operate because even if he repaired the cuff, it was likely to tear again. It got steadily worse; couldn't raise the arm above the horizontal, could not sleep on that side, could not use the computer mouse etc etc. In desperation I bought this book and religeously followed its advice.Be warned, the initial pain of hanging is out of this world - but must be endured! Absolutely amazing! I am totally cured! Within just a couple of sessions I could even sleep on the affected side. The shoulder is a bit noisy, but NO pain now at all. Back in the gym, and doing exercises I'd been unable to do for years. As strong as the other shoulder.God bless Dr Kirsch. If the rotator cuff is still torn - it's not bothering me. Dr Kirsch says other structures take over. They certainly have in my case.I hang for a minimum of two 35 second sessions a day. Bonus - its helped my back, and I also do leg raises as I hang, to strengthen the abdomen and hip flexors.Regarding the reviewer who complains that the book is about just one thing. Namely hanging from a bar. What on earth does that matter - if the method works??? It DOES work! Absolutely amazing, a total and almost instant cure to a very severe problem.

Great for shoulders but watch out
Having tried the technique in the book and having suggested customerās read it too, Iāve received the following feedback: pulled intercostal muscles as a result of hanging and a pulled elbow resulting in tennis elbow. Itās really important to GO SLOW with the hanging and not go full on into just hanging with the feet off the ground. Your whole body needs to be ready for full hanging and by ready I mean weeks of working up to it so that you donāt injure yourself in other places. Our bodies are amazing but need to adapt slowly to new movement patterns.
