Good item. Feels good in your hand
Good item. Feels good in your hand. Just don't hit your thumb as with all this style of hammer the head is very small compared to a normal hammer, and believe you me it hurts like hell if you do!

Pleasant surprise.
I needed a slate hammer for a small job on my new shed, so went for a less expensive one because I’m not going to start a roofing company at my age.I’m really impressed. Yes I had to sharpen the point for more accurate holing of the slates, but I’d recommend it. A slightly longer handle would suit me better, but I’m not complaining.I reckon it will last for ages.

I already had the chance to use this hammer before buying it so knew what I was getting ,yes you have to sharpen the point of the pick and the claw but for the money it’s worth it

OK
Not bad but the slate spike wasn't very sharp and a bit too wide and flat to punch holes in slate. A friend offered to 'fix it' and after 10 mins with an angle grinder (appropriate PPE being worn at all times of course) it was was sharp enough to beautifully neat holes in the 100 year old reclaimed slates we were using.
