Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick - Punked Matte 0.1oz

Not something I bought via Amazon...I did view it and liked it, then totally forgot about it. Ended up in Boots The Chemist...impulse buy...love it. Beautiful colour. True matte grey lipstick.

I wasn't sure how I felt about this lipstick when I first saw it in person. I thought there would be some purple in it, but it is definitely a medium slate grey. It goes on very easily and appears perfectly matte. I wore it for quite awhile, didn't have to constantly reapply. I received 3 compliments on my new lipstick in the first half hour I had it on....one of them from my mother! I ended up really liking "Punked." It is a unique and very pretty color. Long wearing and feels smooth and even on your lips. I highly recommend it.

Maybe I've been spoiled since most my lipsticks are liquid mattes, or maybe I just got my hopes up but this lipstick disappointed me.First the color was a perfect grey just the color I wanted, it couldn't of been more spot on. The customer service was excellent and the packaging and arrival time also perfect.My problem with this lipstick is it's formula. It is a mix of chalky and waxy no matter how much I applied I couldn't get full coverage and to do so would probably require a primer and concealer which I will do because I love the color, but to be honest I don't expect to have to for a lipstick at this price. It comes off very easily and I didn't even wear it out of the house the first time because I couldn't get enough coverage in the time I had before running out of the house.Still if you are looking for that perfect grey, and are willing to scrub prime and use concealer on your lips to achieve the desired effect the color in my opinion makes it worth it, even if I didn't like the formula itself.

Lovely color for my brown complexion. Doesn't wear very long but feels good going on.

Good product like all smashbox lipsticks. The packaging was damaged but not opened.
