Billie Floof Dry Shampoo - Non-Aerosol Volumizing Powder - Light Hair - 1.2 oz

This is the only dry shampoo which works on my hair. My hair is dark, fine & curly (but I usually wear it straight). Aerosol dry shampoos did not help degrease my 5-day-old hair. I tried the non-aerosol Kristin Ess dry shampoo which was far too light for my dark hair. This dry shampoo works for dark hair and has no fragrance, which is great for sensitive noses. It also works great if you have k-tip extensions, since it has no alcohol or oil in the ingredients, which can break down the extension bonds. Wonderful product!!

So far, this dry shampoo is amazing. I’ve been looking for a non aerosol dry shampoo that uses rice starch for forever, most other non aerosol dry shampoos use tapioca starch or other starches and they just do absolutely nothing for my hair, almost makes it feel more greasy. Products with rice starch are my GO TO but aerosols always seem like they go so fast and the residue gets all over the bathroom so I really wanted to dry a powder dry shampoo to see if it would last longer and have a more “targeted” application. I’m also very funny about the texture, I don’t like anything to feel sticky or tacky like hairspray. I want the soft clean look and for that reason batiste and anomaly have always been my favorite but like I said they don’t last too long and make a mess.This product came very fast, packaged in a cute little box so nothing was broken, product wasn’t spilled everywhere. I washed my hair in the morning then before bed I parted my hair in different sections and added a small amount to each part then rubbed it in. I’m now on day 3 with just one little touch up to the crown of my head (oiliest part for me) and my hair is soft with no stringy pieces and looks freshly washed. (For reference I am a very oily/ greasy individual, my skin gets oily like 30 minutes after cleansing. I am also postpartum and have been struggling with superrr oily hair and haven’t been able to go 2 days without washing even with dry shampoo.) There’s no tacky/ sticky/ hair spray feeling, I didn’t have to brush it out, and no buildup of product on my scalp. I have dark brown hair and I bought the light because I’m not a fan of tented dry shampoo because of the mess it makes, I have NO white cast or powder look at all.I’m not sure how this stuff would work when applies to already greasy hair (I’m testing that next), I know that’s not the right way to apply but everyone forgets sometimes. Either way I will definitely be purchasing again!

This is a very good product that is worthy of 5 stars, however I rate it 4 only because the dispensing and distribution of product is a bit of an arm workout.I love this because:1) My hair feels clean and the shafts feel light with less weight after each use.2) Adds volume to hair without over filling strands leaving behind heavy residue.3) It has no strong smell, texture, or residue. A very fine powder that you don’t notice, smell, or see when you are done applying.4) No aerosol, or mess (unless you shake it like absolutely crazy).How I use this:• Immediately following styling after a fresh wash. Adds volume and my hair feels just as clean in the morning (I usually style in the evenings or do overnight styling).• Each evening before bed and overnight styling.• Touch ups when needed.What products I pair this with:• L’Oréal Mythic Oil, or the L’Oréal Elvive - Whenever I use this, I always oil my ends. Whether you oil before or after is your preference to your hair type. I chose a light oil like L’Oréal Mythic Oil, or the L’Oréal Elvive. I use the Garnier oil (orange bottle) for something heavier as I approach wash day and my ends need more moisture.• Satin/Silk bonnet and blowout rods-I swear when I use my bonnet my hair and pillow stay cleaner and my hair stays silky. The blowout rods also conserve moisture and keep my style, I like to heat style and use the rods as preservation. Works best for me. Silky, styled, and clean hair in the morning.How long does the clean last vs no dry shampoo:• I can make it 4-5 days with the dry shampoo. The last two days I put my hair up. I usually don’t push it past 4, it’s not great to push it that long for your scalp or ends.* I make it 3 max without it and I’m greasy and hate my life the whole time without it 😅 2 is more realistic.

So the product is fine, I like that it’s less visible than white on my brown hair. But weird thing…my cat keeps trying to lick my scalp? When I lay down to sleep he is jumping up on my pillow and I’m having to knock him off, obviously concerned about what is in this that is attracting my cat, and the potential harm it could do to him. So…won’t be using anymore unfortunately.

I bought the dark hair version for my mid-brown hair. I shake it gently like I'm sprinkling cinnamon and then rub it in. I like the lack of scent and how well it disappears into my hair. Best of all, it works for my oily roots! My only qualm is that aerosols never accidentally spilled on my shirt. I usually put this on before getting dressed so I don't look like I had an accident making brownies before work.

Absolutely LOVE this dry shampoo. I was wanting to try an aerosol free and this one is by far my favorite! It’s a lighter color for my brunette hair, and it’s light weight in my hair. It doesn’t leave a color or residue on anything my head touches, which is a plus! Will definitely order this again when I run out!

My new favorite dry shampoo. Works great for quick touch ups and doesn’t look like powder on my dark hair. I recommend it and will purchase again. I also feel like it goes further than the spray shampoos.

Good dark color, but doesn’t work. Does not absorbs any oil. I threw it in the garbage since I have no use for it at all after trying to make it work for a few weeks. My search for a fragrance free dry shampoo that works continues.
