Chalcopyrite is a copper iron sulfide mineral that crystallizes in the tetragonal system. It has a brassy to golden yellow colour and a hardness of 3.5 to 4 on the Mohs scale. Its streak is diagnostic as green tinged black. On exposure to air, chalcopyrite oxidises to a variety of oxides, hydroxides and sulfates. Warning: Contains copper which can cause serious health issues if not handled correctly. DO NOT Hammer, or break this rock up without wearing a mask.

Amazing minerals/crystals
This crystal/mineral arrived before expected, it’s the same crystal as advertised and looks and feels amazing, I’ve ordered several crystals and minerals from this supplier and they never fail to deliver, I love how the item you see is the item you get, if I could I would give them 6 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️So good I have ordered another and yet again pleased is an understatement, I’m over the moon with my purchase.

Sad to say this has been treated to change the overall colour
Sadly I am disappointed with this product, it is a good size but unfortunately it has been treated to give it that fake rainbow appearance, had I known I never would have bought it, they need to make this clear on the ad.

Chalcopyrite specimen
Always get the specimen as featured in photograph which is excellent. Specimens always good quality, well wrapped and arrive early - can’t find fault with anything! Have used many times will continue to do so!

Superb specimen!
I bought this piece of chalcopyrite to add to my collection of rocks and minerals. Despite the measurements given, the specimen was larger than I expected and considerably more beautiful than the photo suggested. I consider it a real lucky find and couldn't be more pleased with it.
