Revell 07047 Land Rover Series III 1:24 Scale Model Kit

Does what it says on the box.A good model kit

I bought this as a gift for my husband as he loves his land rover and I thought this would be a nice thing for him to do. He loves the kit (his dad has collected them all his life) but doesn’t want to make it because of the collection. He is keeping it in its box and bag and storing it safely to use later in life but assured me it’s one of his favourites!

I found the windows difficult to glue in, I replaced the supplied windows with clear plastic sheet glued down the full length of the vehicle and no glue residue.

Excellent kit.

First off this is a beautifully moulded model. Lovely crisp detail and virtually no excess flash or moulding. It's also very accurate and detailed (I'm a former Series III owner and the cab is spot on!).However it's also nowhere near a Level 3 kit. Somewhere between 4 and 5 would be nearer the mark! It doesn't help that in some sections the LHD and RHD labels are reversed (I have contacted Revell about this). Also there are some parts where the sequence of construction makes no sense and it's a lot easier to do it in a different order.I'm about two thirds of the way through the build and it does, with some effort, build into a very good looking model, but it's a lot harder than I thought it would be from the level given.

A really good kit from Revell with lots of nice detail. Relatively easy to build resulting in a very attractive model.

The railings on the top are a little fiddly, but the rest of the kit is fun to build and paint.

For revell this is one if their best value kits to make, great midel with detail and build options, good instructions, for this price its a winner.
