Fox Outdoor Products Small Frame Ankle Holster

Finding a holster to fit my little Baby Browning is not easy, and this holster was a bit large for it. The bottom is open, and sewing the bottom closed solved the problem.I have used this holster daily for a week now and have experienced no discomfort or soreness. The only negative thing I have found, is the vertical strap is a bit long. This style appealed to me because I wanted to keep the holster high so my gun was not exposed when sitting. While the upper band does a good job of keeping the holster high on the ankle, the vertical strap is so long the holster does ride lower on the ankle than I like. This could be a problem for those of you with shiny guns. Because the strap is attached to the holster, if you adjust it shorter the extra strap covers the top of the gun. Once I find the perfect adjustment, I am going to cut the excess strap off and hope it doesn't fray.

This is my first time carrying a firearm on a daily basis. I am a layman when it comes to holsters but felt this was a good starting holster. I carry a 3.3 inch Springfield XDS. The gun fits very snug and is secure. I do like this ankle holster overall but there are a few things I don't like. The front site does catch when pulling out my pistol. The adjustable Velcro strap between the calf and ankle is way to long. To make it the right length for my leg I have to snitch it almost all the way (I am 5'5"). This means I have to fold up the extra Velcro behind the handle of my gun.I feel it's important to mention that I wear boots almost daily. This makes a huge difference when carrying. If I don't have my boots on my gun feels very loose and slides down my leg no matter how tight I since the straps. With my boots there is no slipping and this holster does the job.

Very comfortable ankle holster. Doesn't slip or twist. I use mine for a Kahr PM40. Only complaint is the top strap Velcro starts to wear out after about six months.

Solid quality, I have fairly large caves and this was a tight fit but did fit. Ended up getting an extension to make it a little bigger for comfort. Best to be wore over socks or even pants. With daily wear quality has held up and seems like it will last.

Several of the straps needed to be shortened for proper leg fit. The strap securing the gun in the holster was also shortened for better thumb release. The latter was mainly due to the small size of the gun. Note: The larger the gun the less concealment. Trade-offs!!!
