I have a 1 yr old female shihtzu that always ate slow and never had a problem. We got her a male Morkie buddy that from day one would inhale his dinner plate and then try to attack hers causing her to start inhaling her dinner. It became a battle. My vet suggested one of these type plates and after checking out many designs tried this.... thank you for all the positive reviews, this works like a charm. Not only has it slowed the Morkie down considerably it now gives our shihtzu time to eat in peace. I wish I had this from day one. Morkie has a longer snout so its easier for him that her to get at all the food but meal time is now so much calmer. After the first night I bought 2 more for each as they do need dishwasher clean, too much of a pain to hand wash. Such a great remedy to inhaling their food. If your reading this and thinking it won't work I can't promise it will but I'd be shocked if it didn't.

Prior to using the bowl my puppy would literally inhale her bowl of wet food. In under a minute the old bowl was wiped clean. Now it's taking her a good 10 minutes to like her bowl clean. No longer hungry right after eating and best of the best those farts no longer happen after her meals.Easy to assemble the bottom no slip pegs and no longer is her bowl sliding across the kitchen floor. I have a German shepherd puppy, who is 12 weeks old and eats food like he’s never gonna get another meal. Before even having his food spread out across the floor it took him two minutes at max to eat everything now it takes him over 10 minutes and it keeps him busy, I highly suggest this product for dogs that eat food like mine does it keeps them busy and challenges them! I saw previous comments on the little rubber pieces that come to hold the bowl on the floor and I ended up just gluing mine in place so that there was no where they could pop out and my dog get a hold of them. Fantastic product and highly recommend.

When I opened the package and saw the bowl, I decided to return it because I thought it was way too big for our 16 pound Cavapoo Daisy, and I did not know if she would be able to reach the food at the bottom. I was looking to replace a much smaller soft plastic slow feeder that was deteriorating. Even though I had already started the return, I decided to give the bowl a try. Glad I did. It slowed Daisy down even more than the smaller one. Without a slow feeder, she inhales her meal in less than one minute and sometimes throws up because she will eat so quickly. With this bowl, she now takes about 5 minutes. She has no problem reaching the bottom. And it’s easy to clean. I canceled the return, and I’m glad I kept the bowl.

My Aussie was so put out at actually having to slow down her food gobbling that she rejected the new feeding bowl until she caught on that this was her new reality! Now she happily chomps down her chow at a slower pace. I am happy with this purchase and would buy it again.

The assembly for this product was easy. Placing the rubber stoppers in the bottom were self explanatory. In these ones though they fell out right away. There was no suction to the floor, i lost all the rubber stoppers off the bottom. I do have 2 large dogs , so since they have a lot larger snout and tongue I’m assuming they i just need to find more sturdy bowls. I think these would be great for a smaller dog that does not push around their bowl as much.

I got this bowl for my yorkie that was eating her food in less than a minute. After using this bowl, it has slowed down her pace of eating and it takes her a few minutes. I am highly satisfied with this product.

It’s working well this my small dog. He eats so fast he throws up so I purchased this slow feeder bowl. It been a real help in slowing him down. I would have liked it just a little smaller. It said it was for small to medium dogs. My dog is small

The media could not be loaded.  My Romanian rescue dog was previously a chain dog and was starved. She eats every meal like it's her last. This bowl has slowed her down so she has to actually chew. Before, she'd swallow all of her food whole. As you can see, the tail is still wagging!

This has worked an absolute treat for my dog who got into this weird habit of gulping his food down like we're all going to steal it. The gaps for food in this bowl are much smaller than expected so I wouldn't recommend for a large breed, but for small dogs, absolutely perfect

This product certainly slows down the guzzlers. The rubber feet are also good at reducing bowl slippage but could be better. They tend to fall out as well, so you may want to glue the feet in. Depending on snout size, you may find that the last few pieces of dog food prove tricky but that keeps the pace appropriate. They would be a little tricky to clean as the indentations underneath are quite small. It would be good to see a flat base underneath to simplify that. Overall happy with my purchase.

Having 6 dogs ,2of them being very greedy gulpers , these feeders are brilliant slowed them right down , would definitely recommend.

The dish is really deep which our puppy found frustrating. It's also really difficult to clean.After a week it had already become a little scratched and chewed so I can't see it being particularly durable - especially with a larger dog!
