It can a few days to disappear on Satin
I liked the double end tip, but the fine tip dries out very quickly and doesn't leave much of a mark - you have to keep going over it and checking.I find the thicker tip a tad too thick, but the ink flows more smoothly here. Unfortunately it can bleed on satin and takes up to a week to completely disappear.I discovered that a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol gets rid of it (to my relief!).Much more convenient than tailor's chalk, which doesn't always completely come off, nor mark as precisely. Much safer bet than using fine lead pencil.

Tops get lost as nowhere to put it
The thick end was great but the thin end really too light. I've invested in one that you can put the top on the end now as otherwise the top just gets lost and it dries up.

Marks large and small pattern circles easily.
I've used pens like these for years, but this is my first double-ended one. I like to keep my patterns pinned on until I've done the stay-stitching. I just need a small dot at each end of the lines. Small dots with the fine tips are OK for darts and seams, but you have to be sure mark has completely gone before pressing. After ironing, the marks are stubborn and don't always vanish. I use the fat tip for matching points, shown as large circles on the patterns, but only very lightly. These points tend to be critical to the final assembly of garments, so tailor's tacks are better if you can't mark and sew within a few hours.I would add that the markings vanish very quickly in warm conditions. Don't leave your marked pieces by a radiator or in a sunny place, or you will end up redoing them. To deliberately remove the pen marks, I have tried breathing on them. It doesn't always work though, so I use a water erasable pen with a craft water filled brush-pen, from The Range.

Does the job
Only had few months seems like ink is running out plus it takes a good few days for ink to disappear from fabric

Quilter's friend
Used for marking quilt and it actually does this very well. I go over the mark twice so it stays well, then it disappears after a couple of days (if you want it to disappear quicker then dip a cotton bud in white vinegar, squeeze the bud so it is just damp not wet and then dab the marking). Have used when piecing (i.e. without batting and backing) and if marked only once it disappears much quicker. For me this pen is much better than the wash away pens which I find re-appear when quilting which is a real pain. I prefer using the thick end as I feel the thin end disappears too quickly to be of benefit but the thick end is much more useful and worth the purchase price on its own. Have used on white cotton with no difficulties. Love this pen, this is actually my second one and I am more than happy to recommend.

Magic indeed- disappears without a trace within minutes
the pen itself is great , however for the purpose intended is just terrible. I have bought it for marking the aida(for cross stitch) and the idea is that the ink should either fade by air or when washed. THAT is indeed what it does. within 2 min you can't tell where the pen marking it was. Even on paper- with 30 min , fully vanishes. Its practically invisible ink. If you need to write something and then be fully gone, this is the pen for you. If you want something that last a little bit longer and fade gradually over time, this isn't it.Im giving it 3 stars as it is fading extremely well!

Vanishes very quickly
It has its pros and cons. Vanishes very quickly and ideal if you are marking for instant use. Not ideal if you are putting marked fabric aside and going back to it later as the markings may have disappeared by then. The longevity of the markings varies between materials - for me it lasts anywhere from just a couple of minutes to an hour or so and it also leaves no residue or colour behind. I use this for projects where I want the markings to disappear without having to wet the area. If I want the markings to remain for as long as possible but also with ease of removal, the Prym pens are great.

Bought to help with adding detail to applique designs and quilting patterns. Tested on light cream pure cotton - fine line still sufficiently visible after 12 hrs but totally gone after about 30 hrs - thick line took about 48 hrs to totally disappear. Have used on various coloured materials up to mid shades of green without problems but don't think it would work on darker colours, particularly anything in shades of blue. But certainly the best tool I've yet found for this sort of thing. If they could come up with a similar thing which draws in white for use on dark colours I'd be well made up.
