If you have a cat that loves to scratch like a maniac then this is definitely a good buy. I got it for my nephew’s cat, and my mother mentioned that it seemed pretty cheap, but upon my own visual inspection, it actually is pretty decent for the price. My cousin’s cat ignores all of the other scratching posts in the house, but is obsessed with this particular post. So obsessed that within six months I had to buy a new one because his cat tore every single piece of rope right off of it. The wood is fantastic and still intact but like I said the cat scratched the entire rope off of it. I ordered a second one for his cat and 3 months in the rope is almost gone, but the cat still loves it and I am sure I will end up buying a third. What would really be cool is if they just made the top replaceable. I’m not into disposable things that litter up our landfills, but instead of having to dispose of the entire scratching post, it would be great if they just made the top replaceable then you could keep the base because the base of these are still in perfect condition. I wanted to order one for my cat but I have a feeling she will scratch it up within a few weeks (she has been known to trash all of her posts and beds).. It’s also nice looking as it is pretty small, the wood is decent, and it fits with almost any decor… the only bad thing is that while it fits with an any decor, the ropes are hanging off of it.If I buy three of the same item, then I obviously like it. Again, I wish the manufacturer would just sell a replacement top for it.

very pleased with this. was well constructed, easy to assemble, and very fun for kittens. I had to buy a 2nd one because the resident cat was jealous. The top part is really only good for kittens up to about 6 months, so its a fantastic purchase if you foster kittens like I do! The bottom part is a lot of fun for any age cat, mine is 2 years old and was fascinated by it for quite some time. The toy does tend to be a bit of a claw trap tho,so I recommend staying close by in case the cat gets caught on it and needs a little help getting free.

My cats love this toy! I'm hoping they will also use the attached grooming brush but if they don't, my human children think that part is actually a foot scratcher for them and at least they are enjoying that feature. (Cats and kids are mysterious creatures.)Assembly is easy as long as you note that two of the screws have a smooth area closer to one end and that the instructions show which direction to insert those. It took less than 10 minutes to assemble and that was with a seven year old "helping" (not helping).I particularly like that the wooden balls stay contained within their tracks. My smaller adult cat likes sleeping on top of the tower and our bigger cat likes to sit there. The big cat (he's almost twice the size of his sister) has flipped it over a few times by jumping off the top level just right (he's a chaos master) but both the tower and our wood floors are just fine.

I liked the idea of this because it’s not plastic or painted. Nice and natural. My cats are weird, they have no interest in the balls. Your cat may, so don’t judge by my cats non use of it. Though they will scratch the wrapped rope around it and they scratch my furniture less. But if I go that route, I just need the scratch post part. Very inventive idea though and didn’t want to rate it too low because the quality is top notch.

The instructions are super simple and easy to follow making it super easy to put together As you can see my six month old kitten is very wild jumping on it and leaning on it, but hasn’t knocked it over yet and he a pretty big kitten for his age. It’s a little wobbly but truthfully, I think that’s just because of the 4 sticky pads they give you for your floor so it doesn’t scratch, I might have placed them a little unevenly so that’s user error Haha. All of this being said the material is great. Wood is great and smooth and it’s sturdy. I really do love this product and if I’m needing another one in the future, this will definitely be the one I go to!!!!

I recently welcomed a spirited kitten into my home, (Mr. Meow Meows) and he's a bundle of adorable, wild energy. He's been completely uninterested in many toys that we've introduced him to but this one is really the only one he's shown any interest in.It's almost mesmerizing to watch him play with this toy. He can sit there for HOURS, utterly captivated by those tiny wooden balls. lol I often wonder how he doesn't get dizzy from all the chasing and pouncing. Sometimes, he'll even doze off right beside it, only to wake up with a determined "oh yes, I was in the middle of a mission to capture those balls!"I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of this cat scratcher. It's sturdy, and the use of real wood rather than the fake laminated "wood" was a nice little touch. Also seamlessly blends with my home's aesthetic, which i'm not mad about. IYKYKIf you're contemplating getting this toy for your feline friend, I wholeheartedly recommend it. Your kitty will undoubtedly thank you with joy and laughter.

Looks cute, and my cat enjoys the rolling balls. But it is small and easily knocked over during rambunctious play; seat is very small.

First of all, it was super easy to put together just following the instructions and bam . It took me about 15 to 20 minutes to assemble no tools necessary . My cat loves it !!!! Right when I gave it to her she right away started to play with it , I love that it has different things for her to play with .

My cat uses it all the time and plays with the toys in the base a lot. It's been quite durable, and is really well made. Super easy to put together as well.
