Good for what it is
These bongos don't break the bank. I really wanted a tabla set, but that was way out of price range. This gets me and the kids down the percussion trail. That being said, the engineering on these is a little shoddy. The connecting bridge wobbles. Also, you'll have to retune these after a jam session. I'm not sure if that's normal. I'm used to doing it on string instruments, but I expected to get more than a single session playing the habanera.Overall, I'm not dissatisfied, but I wish they held a tune longer.

These drums were used as a prop. They are authentic however but I couldn't tell you whether they had the proper sound. It held up to a few beats before it became a cake holder.

Good quality worth every dollar
Great quality for the price. Son loves them. Wife hates them (nothing to do with quality but the noise they emit)

Decent for the price, company should have used 2 bolts to connect the drums. It's a little wabbly with only one

Missing the strap
I learned from this purchase that the skin of the bongos will look dirty and discolored but this is that way it is. Unfortunately mine also came without the strap and it was not made good on.

Good quality, well constructed, excellent sound and fast delivery
Hip Bongo Drums delivers on what it promises: excellent beginner bongo drums. My pair has a few smalls scuffs on the skins, as other reviewers have mentioned. I don't think it takes away from the look of the drums and perhaps gives them a more authentic look, which supports my 5-star rating. If you are looking for a beginner set of bongo drums, this set is a great option.
