Plastic shims are easy to use and work better than wood shims in certain places. Don't get caught without them.

Works great for a shaky toilet

The instant I put these under my toilet it stopped it from wobbling. They are wonderful. I would recommend anyone having a wobbly toilet to get these and use them.

the caulk around the base of the toilet cracked and the toilet became wobbly which was a unsettling.found these shims on amazon. they are easy to install and work very well. only took a couple minutes to repair.great value for the money.

These work as expected when working to balance an item

I used these to elevate the far side of my dish drainer board, because the water was not draining well enough and it was going to the back side of my over-hung stainless sink, where it was pooling and then overflowing. This was a major problem, as the overflow water was causing a crust to form, made out of the (cheap apartment melamine?) countertop or glue, right at the edge of the stainless steel sink. Not a good situation, and the dish drain board is the best that I was able to find and I looked hard for a good dish drain board.So, whatever the case, it was evident that I needed to raise up the far side of the drainboard, and these shims did the trick. I only needed two. Prior to using them, I was using the metal lids of two different food jars, and that was not working as the two metal lids were two different sizes and really contributed very little to fixing the wrong-draining situation. Anyhoo, these simple shims helped a lot!!!They are of good quality and I recommend them to anyone who might need a little shim to fix a situation at home. I'm also using one to elevate one side of aa chest of drawers which is partially on carpet and partially on the bare floor. I would have to use funky corrugated cardboard if I didn't have these shims!!
