very strong fairly easy to assemble looks good

As per the title; a very useful, strong and versatile set of shelves inbetween the thin 30cm and thicker 60cm shelf depth ones.Agonized over whether to give 4 or 5 stars due to the huge faff involved in constructing them; should my lack of skill in this area (plus the terrible, terrible diagrams and wording in the instructions) reflect on the actual product? I've decided that yes, there could have been more done in the design and production of them to make slotting the metal tongues of each strut into the sleeves (and that's before you address the issue of needing them to thread back to fit into the sleeve underneath).However, I'd award another star for pure versatility, the fact you could have one tall set of shelves or create your own L-shaped bench is absolutely brilliant. Not to mention being able to buy lots more and slot them side by side with the clips available for purchase.Sadly the entire extra star has to be deducted for claiming no other tools are required and not throwing in a rubber mallet, I don't happen to own one and a lot of the other suppliers issue one as standard with theirs so I just used a hammer and a tea towel. To be fair they do say you should have at least one other person helping you, but I would say that at the very least you need some kind of pointed edge/screwdriver and a chunky pair of pliers for folding back the tabs.Definitely ordering more for the clutter in my garage.

Bought to store bike parts, tools and various other items. The shelves arrived two days early and were in good condition. There was a slight bend in the end of one of the beams, but a little tweek with an adjustable spanner straightened it out easily. These shelves went together very easily. A swift smack with your palm is usually enough to seat the tabs into the slots, for the more stubborn parts I used a hammer and a piece of pine plank as I didn't have a rubber mallet. It did the job adequately with no marking of the paint. The quality is what I expected for the price. Its strong enough but isn't going to compare to units £100+. I can't ever see myself getting close to the weight limit so it's not a problem. The only issue I see is the mdf shelves are on the thin side and might not hold up well to being knocked and banged. If I ever need more shelving I'll definitely purchase these again.

Easy to put together but read the other reviews with tips first. Get the base done first then work upwards. Make sure you have a rubber hammer and a flat screwdriver to ease out the flap bits. If you put the fourth shelf to close to the top shelf then get that in before the top one as you cannot angle it otherwise. Very sturdy once up.

I bought 4 of these shelving units as part of my plan to help me tidy the garage.All arrived within 2 days (I ordered them on a Sunday), but waited until the coming weekend to construct them, I found them relatively easy to put them up with just a rubber mallet (and a large flatblade screwdriver for some troublesome lips). I had all 4 unit constructed and loaded with my stuff in a single weekend, including tidying my garage!One of the packs came with a small rubber mallet, but I used my bigger one that I normally use for tent pegs and keep with the tent.In use these shelving units (1.8m x 900 x 450) are strong and stable, easily coping with all my tools and other stuff that tends to end up in a garage.Ian

Good racking easy to assemble and like the idea of being able to have it two parts. They advertise having extra feet for when it's in two parts but they are not in the box.
