Great flavor, especially for Mai Tais!

Flavor was wonderful

I have wanted to try this brand for a while. We normally buy another brand that uses toasted almonds or we make it ourselves. It is good for a basic Mai Tai. I enjoy the rose and orange water in the original recipe for orgeat. Maybe I am spoiled from making ours and buying that made of toasted almonds. It is hand made and has real ingredients so it is by far superior to those using artificial sweeteners and flavors and have no texture or depth.

Our bar used Torani's syrup for our Mai Tai until I decided to rid of the gross stuff and use real oregat from scratch which has a *much* richer mouthfeel. After opening demand ended and we didn't need as much, I decided to give this product a try. Small hand foods does make a excellent almond orgeat compared to Torani's. The flavor is nutty yet floral and stays true to Oregat by using flower water in its ingredients. My only gripe is that there still isn't the superrich mouthfeel that you making from scratch has, but thats only when on its own. Your Tradtional Mai Tai will come out excellent! Will update with other tiki cocktails, but expect similar great results~Heres one you might want to try: Make a Lemonade using fresh lemon juice, and substitute 1/3-1/2 of the sugar with Small Foods Orgeat!

A very good product and definitely more natural than any other orgeat syrup I have tried. The flavor isn't quite as potent (since it is more natural and not just a ton of flavorings mashed together) but it definitely has a rich and nutty taste that doesn't dip into the bubblegum or overly saccharine spectrum. Definitely get this for authentic Mai Tai drinks and other top shelf offerings as it really does elevate the drink without overpowering it with sugar!

Been craving a GOOD mai tai but couldn't find a great orgeat. This was recommended by a bartender and well worth it! Ended up drinking mai tais all day, didn't get anything done, and now I have to buy more. Thanks a lot, Small Hand Foods.

i've been making mai tais lately, and have tried the bg reynolds, the 1883 routin, and the small hands. the reynolds is very thick and syrupy, dark, but not strongly almond flavored. it has some almond flavor, but it is very subtle. the 1883 goes the other way- thinner, very strongly almond flavored but smelling and tasting like almond extract. the 1883 ok, useable, as is the b.g. reynolds, but i think my search for the perfect orgeat has not ended. i just tried the small hands product and think it's the best so far- more almond flavor than the reynolds, less artificial than the routin.a month or two later: try 50/50 the routin and the small hands. the routin adds some intensity to the relatively mild small hands product.

I've tried different orgeats over time and have settled on 2 brands - this one, and the one from Liber & Co. This one is thinner, more runny, more finely ground - but the peach kernels give it its unique flavor. I love them both.

Excellent quality and quickly delivered. Will reorder when I run out.
