Great Clock Radio
I have had this for a month now and I am very pleased with this clock radio, it has a superb sound for such a small unit is well made and looks great. The only slight issue was with the brightness of the white display so I brought some coloured sticky back film and carefully cut out the film to go over the two displays and this was more than enough to give it a warm dimmer glow at night as can be seen in my photo.I would highly recommend this unit as a bedside radio alarm clock

Worth the Price
I have read some bad reviews, which seem mainly around the product being faulty. So far so good!!The sound is what you expect for the size, not fantastic but not bad. The DAB worked for me, and the radio can be used as an alarm. The LCD is not as bright as some reviews suggest when dimmed, although don't understand why the secondary display of the time needs to be on when not using the radio or BT. Also the the snooze button is small, ( I am being picky).I have a Nothing 1 phone and the charger works, but best for overnight charge as it's is slow compared to traditional chargers.Nice neat design, manufactured wood not plastic, as stated in other reviews. On first use did lose time when switched to FM radio but corrected when switched off and on and has been ok since. So far so good, would recommend, I would give it 5 stars, but only had it a short while. had Roxel products before and had a good experience with them.Hope this review helps.

Several perceived faults with this item
I don't really like having phones charging next to my head but the alarms are so convenient. I also missed my old radio alarm clock. I tried downloading a radio clock alarm app and that didn't work so I thought I would try this. You can probably get a cheaper as new version because if I was new to dab I am sure I would be totally bewildered by the instructions, which may be why so many people are returning them. For a small unit the sound quality is good, better than my Bush BD-1706 I feel, but the reception is rubbish, nowhere near the Bush, and if I haven't got the arial up, and sometimes even when I have, it bubbles like the early models used to, although you don't have to move it around as much as those early models to get a signal. The wireless charger also affects the reception quite badly. For £25 I was quite happy until I realised that I had no control over the dab alarm(or any alarm) volume which sort of defeats the whole purpose of a radio clock alarm doesn't it, making it impossible to wake up dreamily listening to early morning music. If I still had the packaging I would be sending it back. There's a nice walnut case on it mind, and a big clock display.

The most frustrating product I've bought from Amazon, and I've bought some cheap crap in my time.
Pros:Looks pretty.Cons:It is as bright as people say, felt like I was being abducted and I'm not a fussy sleeper RE: light usually.Radio once came on an hour into my sleep at full blast, hasn't done it since bless it! - And no, I'm not technically incapable, I'm in my thirties and I set it up correctly. As mentioned above, I'm capable of using electronic devices, and yes the menus/set up really are nonsensical and needlessly difficult to use.The most frustrating thing about this product is the charging and the reason why I've finally given in and returned it.Every morning I've woken up to a dead battery, I've placed the phone down the evening before and watched as my phone recognises it is being charged, then go to bed, without disturbing it. The clock decides it can't be bothered any longer and stops charging your phone when you're not looking.I thought this could be down to my error, maybe I disturbed the position of the phone, but no, I've learned my lesson from past experiences with the alarm clock, DO NOT MOVE YOUR PHONE, DON'T EVEN LOOK AT IT. Because the alarm clock will stop charging your phone, and if you want to place it back down on the charger, seemingly within 4 hours since you picked it up, the alarm clock will not charge your phone, not unless you switch it off and on again. All in all, avoid and go with a brand you know, shame, because I really liked the look of this clock.

It works, but it will probably drive you insane
Looks nice, looks well made, works. This should be a simple "yay its great" sort of review, but yet again we are let down by very poor design engineering the makes the unit a displeasure to own. Key grumbles include:1. The clock face is brighter than the sun even on the dimmest setting. Am I tanning whilst I sleep (if I can sleep)?2. The pressure required to actuate any button on the face of the unit is greater than the resistance offered by the weight of the unit on a typical surface. In other words you need one hand for pushing the buttons, and another for holding the device down so it doesn't get pushed off the back of of the bedside table. Or you grab the unit and operate buttons with your thumb. Useless.3. There are not enough buttons. The ones that are there do several different things depending on how long you hold them in for. Infuriating.4. The text indicating what each button does is far too small. Even if were not it would be difficult to read because, lets face it, reading anything written on the surface of the sun is difficult using eyes.5. Once the unit is set to a sleep timer forget being able to adjust volume or indeed do anything else. The software driving the interface may have originally been created in the mid 1800s.6. Interference: yes, any phone charging on or near the unit when it is FM mode creates interference. Not entirely surprising. But brilliantly there is also some audible interference when on DAB and the phone is sat on the wireless charger.Bottom line: This unit is an absolute triumph of style over substance. It looks great, really great, but is a daily irritation. I look forward to the day it dies.***EDIT***6 months in and it is still a daily disappointment despite being dropped a couple of times and generally not treated very well. So it is definitely reasonably well made. Or more accurately, unreasonably well made. Completely unreasonably in my view. I have a feeling this thing is going to be a daily blight for years to come.
