Sturdy slim design and perfect for my Nikon ZF NIKKOR lenses. I was especially happy that the hood has a thread on the inside. So I can screw on a 52mm UV / CPL / ND filter into the hood, and then screw the hood onto the lens directly. (I’m using a 52mm Hoage UV filter for extra lens protection from dust etc.). Makes changing the hood quick and easy between the 40mm and 26mm NIKKOR lenses that I own. Based upon other reviews, it also works on the 28mm lens. And the lens cap still fits. Looks great on the ZF and protects my lenses.

This is a screw on hood, not a bayonet one like I use on my bigger lenses. Since it does not add much to the size of the lens, I rarely take it off. Since I usually use this lens indoors, the sun is usually not an issue, but it does make a difference outside. Important details...the threads match the filter threads of the lens well and the inside of the hood has matching threads for the original lens cap. The hood is robust enough to provide some protection for the front of the lens. For bayonet hoods, I buy original Nikon because they are generally a better fit and more durable, but I thought this screw on one was worth a try, and the lense does not support a bayonet hood.

This lens hood is well made and is a great addition to my Nikkor 28mm f2.8 lens. What I particularly like about this hood is there is no branding or writing anywhere on the lens hood - it's totally plain. It's one of the main reasons I chose this brand.

Title says it all. Great aesthetics, and this + UV filter means my glass is well protected.

The hood fits and functions as desired, what more can I say? It makes the lens slightly longer but adds protection against bumping it and impacting front element or face of a filter. You can a,ways unscrew it if you absolutely need smallest camera + lens dimension. Quality is excellent. I would buy again, and just might if I add another lens to my travel kit.

I like how it maintains the compactness of the prime lenses.

This is nicely machined aluminum. I fits well and accommodates the original lens cap. Only issue might be that it only provides a minimal amount of shading since it does not extend out much. No vignetting on 16-50 Nikon Z DX lens.
