They really are lovely and so comfortable.But a few words of advice, after having read a lot of comments about buying the narrow size instead and about the sizings in general in the reviews section. I went to the official Birkenstock UK website and under the tab "shop online" there is a sizing guide, and for women who are a size 7 in UK sizing, they state that you should purchase a size 40 in European sizing and the standard width. Unless you have narrow feet. Mine aren't especially wide or narrow and the regular width is perfect for me.Usually I'm a 41 in European sizing. But I thought I'd order the size 40 and return it, if it didn't fit well. As that was the recommendation on their website. I have to say it fits perfectly.I read the information on narrow or regular as well and this is what it said:"Regular or narrow?Even with foot health sandals the right fit is important. Therefore the Original Birkenstock foot bed is manufactured in two widths. When purchasing your Birkenstock sandals, ensure that you get the correct width.Birkenstocks are designed to be roomy. When you first try your sandals they might feel big. Most people are fine with a regular fitting, but if your foot moves side to side when you walk and adjusting the strap does not help, a narrow fitting may be more suitable. If you want to check the width of a pair of Birkenstocks you already own, you can tell by inspecting the foot bed where there is a small image of a foot - if it's filled in the shoe is a narrow fitting, and if it's an outline it's regular.Also all stock codes for narrow fittings end with 3"So well worth looking at the sizing guides carefully before ordering in my opinion. Do not use the sizing info on Amazon as your only guide before buying, unless you want to run the risk of having to return them again. As on Amazon it said I should purchase the 41 not 40. Perhaps Birkenstock are just a little different than usual shoe sizes :)

I bought a size EU 38(uk 5) in SLIM fit. I am a size 6 in all shoes but went down a size after reading other reviews...my foot length is 24cm and the widest part of my foot is 23cm. My feet aren't skinny nor wide, just average. I have the buckle on the 3rd hole, there is four holes to choose from. After some wear i can imagine i will have to tighten up to the second hole. So if your feet are give or take 2cm wide from 23 cm then slim fit will fit you perfect. With regards to size of shoe length the EU 38 will fit a size 6 perfect BUT if I had to order again i would buy an EU 39(size 6) in slim fit as I would prefer a tiny bit extra room in front of toes (when you walk your toes moves forward). Either way if you are normally a size uk 6 with average wide feet (23cm) then a EU 38 or 39 in slim fit would be my recommendation. However i have never tried the 39 or normal width to compare. These are super comfy...I will be buying more!

I simply love them!Very soft, confortable, lightweight and yet reliable material.Feels so good on my feet, the raised shape of the sole is fantastic in supporting the arch.Definitely recommend!

I have these with suede straps and cork sole, but the sole is starting to smell like blue cheese, and no amount of scrubbing with bicarbonate seems to help, so these seemed like a good idea.I ordered my usual size, and they did seem a bit big, but when I tighten the straps they fit well. Having said that I do wish I’d ordered one size smaller.Overall, good value. I’m pleased. You will be too. Yes you will. You dirty little sausage monkey.

I already had a pair of these in green, however after a solid year of wear I needed a new pair. As it was on my previous pair, the quality is very good, however as a word of caution, this time I opted for Anthracite grey and despite looking to be quite a dark, matt colour on the pictures, these are quite a lot lighter and are almost a little shiny. Still good footwear, but Im not that big a fan of the color.

2nd time purchase, still wear first pair for pottering around the garden, I got so long ago I can't even remember when (I'm talking years). Good value for money if they last as long as first pair. I'm usually between size 7 and 8, with these I go for EU 40, (uk7) they feel snug but they quickly mould to your foot, a size bigger would be too big. I pretty much wear these the whole of summertime, I think there a timeless stylish classic and great for everyday use and on a chilly eve, dare I say it , I sometimes wear socks with them🤭

So far I have only tried these on as unfortunately the weather turned after I received them. However, I am extremely happy with the fit and how comfortable they feel walking around the house. I bought them and can imagine they would be an extremely practical sandal for holidays - being able to walk around during the day, on the beach and even in the evening - can't wait to try this out.

The most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn. Terrible.

My second pair of these shoes. They are great lightweight slip on's to wear around the house. I have plantar fasciitis and they provide the perfect amount of support.

Super soft and comfortable for walking and they are easy rinse off after yard work.

Very comfortable I love them and plan on ordering more easy to keep clean!
