HPTouchPad 9.7 inch Tablet PC (16GB, Glossy Black) - UK Version

I finally decided I needed a better tablet after struggling along with a very cheap, but ultimately flawed Advent Vega for 18 months.I didn't have the funds for a top end Tablet, but one thing the Vega had given me, was a great understanding of how to flash various flavours of Android onto a tablet and how best to tweak things. With this in mind, I decided on the HP Touchpad...What a great choice.. it took about 30 mins to add Android 4.0 to the Tablet (it dual boots, so you don't lose the original OS).The difference between this and a cheap Tablet can't be emphasised enough, apps simply fly and the overall quality is top notch. Add to this, a fantastic screen and speakers good enough to actually make listening to music an enjoyable experience and I could not be happier.My only regret is not getting a couple when they where originally discontinued by HP..If you can get one at a good price then do.!!

I was a bit apprehensive about the price at first (if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!)but my apprehension turned to delight when the Touchpad arrived well within the time scale. The product is intuitive and very user friendly. I urge anyone dithering about buying one to just get it. Never used an IPad but from what I've seen of them, this product is equally as good for a fraction of the price. HP have certainly come up trumps with this one. The only (slight) niggle is the slow start up time but if you ignore that then you have a great product, easy to upload photos, music etc.

Unfortunately HP have decided to abandon some of its Palm products. The Touchpad with its brilliant WebOS operating system is a great loss. Anyway, to review the product I have to say I have an Android tablet running ICS 4.0 and the Touchpad runs rings around it. You can install Android ICS on the Touchpad apparently but it has not worked for me. A brilliant machine no longer supported by HP. Shame.

The delivery of this item was excellent. as a computer novice I found it difficult at first, but once I had got to understand it a bit better, I now find it excellent in every way. I did find the free setup assistance phone line hopeless, the call handler did not understand english so our question did not get answered, but we managed to find the information elsewhere.

big thanks to drop dead tech, very quick delivery this touchpad is in very good condition all bits accounted for well worth the money, the display is crisp, and the response to touch is spot on. i am very pleased sofar. :D this unit is far better than alot of tablets i`ve played with (i work for dsgi so i know) although it is very slow to charge. i am just preparing preware but will hold off to see how it performs without tweaking i have a dv3 (i5 version) with splashtop which i will control from the touchpad when the app is released. my advice to anyone who is looking for a tablet "look no further!" unless you like forking out over £[].

I have had this TouchPad and have found it very easy to use, and goes with me in my bag wherever I go. As I travel a fair bit I have found it very convenient and it is in constant use.I possibly don't use as many apps as a lot of people might use, but for my way of life it is ideal.

Bought this tablet by just stumbling across it, a friend had recommended since he got one last year in the fire sale. For basic purposes of reading and browsing this is the best, although discontinued this had the potential to become on of the best equipment out there.Plenty of useful and relevant apps and good battery life.Arrived promplty from the seller who I had called regarding some confusion with the delivery and they were very helpful so full marks to them as well

Great Product, well build and does what you need. I've been using it for the past 3 weeks and must say I love WebOS. Shame HP didn't give the touchpad more time to settle.
